The loos needed cleaning and we've run out of jay cloths so I've used the cleaners head as a loo brush ..... loos are sparkling now ..... and I found the other two so I've put them in the fridge to cool them down <laugh>

Re the empty bar on Sunday Mrs R.

Hi folks back from my little break and just about caught up on everything:

Just about all the old squad is gone or going.
    We've signed Gary Barlow´s mate.
DS is the proverbial bad penny.
Robbie Fowler almost signed (is that where the Phillips rumour started?)
Sensible is to blame for the failure of British Tennis.

    Did I miss anything?

No you didn't miss a thing mexijan.

Nicky, as you are a senior member you get 1st shout for the job, Plymborn is too old and Mexijan keeps disapearing.

I will see what I can do, just off to the gym to work out to build the (very) old muscles.

So ONB whats this new signing you lot have just made? With the pottery industry I would have thought you had enough fragile items in Stoke, still great player if he wasn´t made of glass and pay as you play seems pretty good deal.

PS Hols were great thanks mate.

Welcome back mexijan, it's nice to have somebody sensible (apart from me) back on here. As an observation all we have had from a couple of slappers who have invaded the bar is who is sleeping with the barman. Don't know why they call it sleeping with as the definition is far from sleep.

I had a day off not606 yesterday. Had my Son and partner and 3 daughters around for diner. Having spent around 3 hours after diner playing silly running around the garden I was so knackered I collapsed into an enforced sleep. They left around 7.30 and I was snoring by 7.35. Kids are bloody knackering and it's no wonder you have them when you are young. Had them again today for a couple of hours and they enjoyed the whacky races so much from yesterday that I had to do it all over again today. I might last till 8pm this time. Any by the way Mrs Reid, they don't think I'm grumpy but that may be because I get more sensible conversation with them...................

Oioi sensible, you calling me a slapper??? I can arrange a slap around the kisser if you like! Not content with that insult you now say I can't have a sensible conversation with you! One more step outa line and you'll be barred from the bar - so to speak.

ONB, when I suggested getting more people into the bar it wasn't meant to include the rifraffrom swilly!

Are you telling me that you can out sensible a 3 and 4 year old Mrs Reid. When the youngest one says she is going to have a race like a rabbit then she absolutely is a rabbit. You cannot persuade her otherwise and there are at least 10 good reasons why she is one. The logic of someone that age is a breath of fresh air all said with a perfectly good straight face. Today she was a rabbit, a kangaroo and of course her favourite a horse. You see, you start off being slightly eccentric and end life that way which is why kids and old people get on so well.

Who said I was referring to you as a slapper? It could have been anyone but if you think the cap fits then who am I to argue.

I won because I was a bigger bunny than she is and I tripped her up on the first bend. First rule of playing with kids. You cannot be more than one month older than the oldest child in the group. Here is logic for you. The older one says that I have got hair but it's bald hair in between the white bits.

<laugh><laugh> A bold cheating wabbit the mind boggles...

Dunno ONB if and that is a really big IF he can manage a few games without breaking then he could be good for you. Will he now be Jonathon Wadegate as he´s with the potters?

They will probably buy Owen Hargreaves as well then. To be fair it is a travesty with some players who potentially are very very good yet are perpetual sicknotes. To have so much talent and hardly get to use it is a crime.
