I think our first past the post electoral system is just fine and dandy by me. Its one redeeming feature is that it stopped the idiots in UKIP getting the number of MPs they would have done under PR. For that we should all get down on our knees and say a word of thanks.

so you are happy that many millions of people voted for a party that gets next to no representation in the House? it's utterly wrong. it's anti democracy.

You're very welcome to go there then. I've had people complaining for ages that it's about time we stopped talking about the election on here, so I have asked everyone to stop. You obviously didn't see my post, but that's it now.
So if I complain about marmite, will people stop talking about it? :p I won't talk politics any more but I don't see why it can't be brought up if something happens that affects the country (i.e. the EU referendum that's going to happen). This is an off topic thread after all and people debate on different topics. That's what makes this such a good thread. The topics on here will vary depending on what's going on in the real world (i.e the election). People like to debate these things. Some people may not like the subject but it will soon change. I understand the need to stop election talk now as it's happened but if something else political happens I don't see why I can't bring it up. Surely I can talk about what I like, within reason, on an off topic thread?

Sounds fair enough. I know most people will be fine as long as we don't go on and on about any particular thing.

My only response to this will be that I truly hope you don't judge a person's political stance by a comment they make on a football forum about some graffiti. Please don't do that, it is wrong to do so. I started that comment so I will assume that this and other similar remarks on similar topics were aimed at me. I do not declare my political position publicly with strangers and none, I repeat NONE of my comments are based on any political bias. In my time, I have voted for several different parties as I saw fit at the time and not voted at all once. You have no idea how I voted this time.

If people wish to start casting dispersions in my direction, I seriously suggest they PM me, get my number and we can meet up over a few beers. I will then bore the **** out of them with the amount of work and projects/support I have done over the years for causes such as those you mention Dell boy. I hate politics and this is one of those many reasons why; it is why I didn't want a big discussion on it in here. It pisses me off no end, when people can write a comparison/analogy like the one above without any knowledge of the person they write about. Assumption after assumption. It doesn't matter where your politics sit as to how much you show indignation towards something, or help people. It only matters what sort of person you are. I only hope that you do everything you possibly can and I mean everything, to help those people that are mentioned above.

I am sorry I have typed this aggressively responding to your post Dell boy, nothing personal, but it was the right one to reply to.

*please someone ban politics on here*

Agree with you completely, except that it's "casting aspersions"

But to hit 325 not out takes a hell of a lot of skill, determination and stamina. Tell me, how many other have hit triple centuries against the same attack?

This thread related to KP getting back into the England team - imo a big knock against a poor 2nd Div attack does nothing to enhance his claim. However we all know KP is a class batsman and if it wasnt for his ego and disruptive antics he would never have been dropped in the first place ! The ECB are usually a bumbling management team and i can see him getting reselected - i reckon there will further fireworks if so.
