Very few of those things affect the wealthy, they have good jobs, plenty of food in the fridge, live in areas with few immigrants, can afford special health care and have expensive cars that drive smoothly.

Hence why Labour have been stuffed. Better the few than the many.

As for the Tories, well they now have 5 years to improve the country and what they promised. If not, well come 2020 the landscape will change to RED.

Also the Green party "Bennett going ?" could well need a new leader.

Hull MP Alan Johnson tipped to take over from Ed.

Scots guy at work made a good point, the SNP won 1.4m out of around 3m available votes where they contested so almost a 50% rate, UKIP were nearer 15%......still doesn't make it right like but gives a more rounded view

No it doesn't. The SNP wouldn't have got hardly any votes outside of Scotland. And 50% of a 70% turnout isn't a majority of those eligible to vote.

Says the man who could choose the delights of a socialist country like Cuba or Vietnam but chooses that we'll know bastion of socialism, Texas.
Congratulations on the successful irony bypass operation, Patty.

I reckon if they'd stood in a few constituencies just south of the border, they could probably have received a fair few votes.

The SNP have the same legitimacy as David Cameron and the Tories.

I totally agree with you. All I am saying is he has been voted back in so people must be happy with him ruling us again.

You mean Texas is a hotbed of socialism? Cuba and Vietnam are ruled by an equivalent of the Republicans?

    a Conservative governt?

the only good thing to come out of it will be that music gets good again.
bands with a political message like The Clash will rise again.

I think it's was more a case of voters not wanting someone like Miliband in charge and selling us down the river first chance he got.

slice it anyway you want, but if you have never been to said state or to those countries, you can't really form an unbiassed opinion.

Don't tell me you really believe that, Obi. They got a majority of seats under our system. The SNP didn't.
In fact it was the first time since 1959 the share of the vote of the ruling party has increased. So much for Guardianista types excitedly wittering on about the Labour tide washing away the Tories.

The opinion polls were right, nothing to split the Conservatives and Labour - what a joke!

We hear you SNP. Lets's bring our Trident subs home now...

    Submarines in the harbour, incognito
Submarines of your dreams, not mine
The red red sky, must take the price
For giving to the people who never never go to war
    We´re glad it´s all over

I've little to no interest in politics and couldn't really give a **** who wins, but Miliband is a simpering buffoon so I'm very pleased he's been ****ed off out the picture.

Great result for everyone as far as I'm concerned. Dave don't seem too bad a bloke anyway.
