It is funny that most of the people moaning about immigrants taking jobs are under qualified white trash people with as many GCSE passes as they have teeth. Not sure why they're worried that some bloke with a PhD from Iraq is affecting their job market....

Love it

It's early in the results so far so it'll not be too accurate yet, but if the swing to UKIP that we've seen over the results announced so far were to be repeated everywhere, they'd get about 3.4M votes, about 13%, but won't take a single seat. The swing just isn't big enough on the ones given so far. I think they're hoping that as they're all clear Tory/Labour party seats that the more marginals will see a bigger swing.

Only 2 of us took up the challenge of predicting the seat split. Congratulations on your win. At least the party I would have voted for improved it's seat numbers by 100 %!

I was in Italy for the 2010 election which was far more interesting than this one which was over once the exit polls were published.

politics are ****ing ****. No matter what happens a huge chunk of the country will suffer. What is the point really.

Who is that? One of the Northern Irish parties?

Yea they don't like soccer, my high school only had girls soccer as they said it was a communist/gay sport. I'm not sure why it was ok for girls to play a communist sport though. The school board had to approve sports and I don't think there Was a vote to ban it as it was understood that no boy should play soccer, men played our football or baseball.

I'm not sure any will be as funny as roundabouts or as evil as legalizing killing gays and some that I think are crazy might actually be supported by some on here.

Must be a California thing. I live in one of the most conservative states in the country, where soccer is fine, roundabouts are welcome, and gays can be left alone and even marry a member of the opposite sex. We even teach evolution in our schools, which is the orthodox Christian understanding anyway. That being said, we have our share of nuts . . . but it takes a lot of work to get a referendum on the state ballot.

Seems all over barring the shouting now lets see what happens to those promises/pledges, vote on continued EU membership? English votes only for English matters? A Northern powehouse to offset/rival the Southeast? Devolved powers to the English regions? To coin a phrase I would think Ed Milliband 'will do one' now but who would replace him?

Gays don't marry the opposite sex...that's kinda the point....

Can I just say that once ****chops The Ferrymans crap was removed, this actually turned out an ok thread.

I don't think we need to change the rule on politics but I'm pleased this one remained mostly civil despite any reservations most of us had.
