Big Bad Billy Whitehurst is coming to the game on Saturday now he was a player who could get the crowd going, talk about fearsome if he was playing on Saturday their goalie if he caught the ball would be in the back of the net. He was a proper centre forward the problem was if he played in the modern game he wouldn't last two minutes he'd be sent off. It will be nice to see him at the KC for those who remember him.
Remember standing in the south stand at BP, the Liverpool fa cup game, we were defending a corner and just before they took it he undid Aldridges laces! Billy was pissing as the ball went straight over aldos head!
Big Billy and Les Mutrie in those early 1980's footie matches made me keep supporting this club when I was more into music and the indie girls.
Big Billy jumping over the counter at some services on the M5 after a night match at Swansea, pure class!!
For any younger members Bily's book is well worth a read. A player that gave everything made the most of his ability and god help you i
Alan Hansen said he is the hardest player he ever faced, so coming from that era thats quite a compliment. Spoke to him once and he had time for the fans, a great lad
Makes me proud to be a City fan knowing we still have someone like Billy as one of our all-time heroes. Regardless of what else we achieve, he still will be in another 20 years time as well
