Well done Hull! Great win against the bin dippers. Nice to see a team showing some fighting spirit. Where that leaves us I do not know. The game against Leicester has just become even more massive.. I think we are going down now. Despair and Hope in equal measures for me! What an utter disgrace of a club we are! Only hope now is the mackems being really shiitte for the remainder of the season!

Leicester could beat Chelsea tonight [doubtful, but you never know.] Beat us on Saturday they are above us. Villa and Hull win their next game, they are above us. That leaves the bottom three. I wouldn't want to rely on those three losing. Knowing our luck, they would start picking up points.

Well, that was an unexpected result from Hull last night. Well done them.

On a personal note I appear to have traded out of my relegation position at 16s last night. Two weeks ago Newcastle were 100s on the exchanges to get relegated now they're around 15s.

Not a good position to be in at all. Football-wise, that is.

It's getting too close for comfort. I've been in two minds about the best outcome for the long term good of our club.
Should we take a relegation, the money dries up, the advertising of SD is less useful and his name is further associated with low standards.

But now that this may come about I'm having second thoughts, that almost going down, but still being a sellable Premiership club would give Ashley the chance to not make loss but leave, taking his name out of the firing line.
I can hope, though if he sells to a fool, we might continue going through torment.

Best for all concerned - We survive, Ashley realises that it will cost too much to keep us up next season and he sells to someone with genuine ambitions.

All we need is one ****ing win, surely to Christ we can't lose 11 on the bounce? Then again I suppose under fat bollocks anything is possible.

Oh yes we can. 11 in a row is defo on the cards I think. Any team that does that, does not deserve to be in this league. Ee aye ee aye ee aye o, down the football pyramid we go!!

The thing is goal difference could be so ****ing important. If we lose on Saturday we have to make sure it is 1/2-0. If we get hammered it could prove costly.

Our case is simple. Bad recruitment, penny pinching and a gaffer who put his footballing ideals before his squad's capabilities. Used to say it every season with Wigan and Fulham when I tipped them for relegation. Flirt with it enough and sooner and later you'll go down and they did. We deserve to go down. Lucky for us we've got relegation clauses and a very good u21 team coming through, I think we'll avoid back to back relegation but could be stuck in the Championship a very long time.

I got 100/1 on and will get nowhere near that now. I don’t have a cash out though! I would be tempted to after losing to Leicester especially the results go the wrong way for us.
But looking at the league, it’s pretty bang on that we will be 17th this season, Hull need a draw (based on goal difference) Aston villa need a win and after beating us Leicester need a 2 draws or a win if they presumably beat us.
I don’t want relegation in the slightest, but it may be the only way to unite fans against Ashley and force him out of the club. I would be more really worried about just expecting to come back up as I don’t think this is anywhere near guaranteed.

Tonight's game is irrelevant for us. Beat Leicester and we're 8 points clear of Sunderland and safe. We only need to focus on the team in third bottom. We'd also be a minimum of 4 points clear of Leicester with both us and them only having 3 games left.

It's ridiculous that it's come to this but this is what happens when you let two defenders leave in January and fail to bring in a single player, on top of the you then give the job of manager to the most under qualified person going.

Win at Leicester and we're safe. If that doesn't happen then it's win against West Brom and we're safe. We need one win between now and the end of the season. If we can't win any of our last 11 then we'll get exactly what we deserve which is 2nd tier football next season.

This is mine, but I'm rubbish at predictions and very biased, but I dont think we will pick up a point

I would love it if we stayed up on goal difference!

So you think WBA will beat you at home? I had that as your one point. You only need a point. We've got 1 win and two draws in us max. Agree 35 will be cut off point
