Fergie was managing for how long? How many CL campaigns PL campaigns by thart stage plus he was a brilliant manager, you are comparing him to Rodgers who in comparison is wet behind the ears and negating the fact that UNited had CL every single year, we've got problems because of lack of CL, it limits the players you can sign both for CL and financial reasons. It's a silly comparison if I am totally honest.
You had CL this season pal. But he still signed crap.

1 season back in the CL is your logical argument?

If you have any inkling about club finances, you'd know you need sustained CL qualification to compete financially with the other clubs that are making it in there every year, City Arsenal United Chelsea. 1 season doesn't cut it. What happened Spurs after their 1 season in there?

You also need sustained CL qualification to sign the top players, cos if you've not got that, you need to do a city wages wise to tempt players like Aguero Toure Silva and pay ridiculously over the odds, with no CL that's kind of hard with no sheik, RA and now with FFP

@Shteve

Said finances allow united to do things like pay Rooney twice what Suarez was getting for his 31 league goals in one season <yikes> In fact throw in RvP too. almost 4 times what Suarez got paid for the same about of goals.

Failcao?<laugh> 5m per goal

Balo seems a great bit of business compared to that at 2.2m per goal<laugh>

Rodgers is full of it, one look at this board and it's clear that there are loads of people who are gifted in the art of football mangement.

We'd have won the league if I was in charge.

Which league?

What we know:

After his record-breaking spending and failure, Martinez would be sacked by any top 10 PL club

Fortunately, Everton aren't a top 10 club any more

By his own defintion of [HASHTAG]#failure[/HASHTAG] Rodgers should be toddling off down the job centre;

"I don't think there is pressure on ourselves, only what we have from within. Look at Tottenham ... [when] you spend over £100m you'd expect to be challenging for the league. "

Brendan Rodgers April 2014

Liverpool spend in the summer 2014 window - £117m

Where we sit now, fifth place and having reached two semi-finals is probably on a par with where we’re at.

If you had any inkling about your own club you'd know that Liverpool have consistently been one of the biggest spenders in the PL despite making only occasional appearances in the CL.
