Cringeworthy reading that. 3? That was January Rodgers. When Chelsea schooled you in the art of defending over two legs

Poor Brendan if he really believes that guff cos pascoe is just his fluffer

He needs a dof to tell him exactly what he is in private

One thing that Rodgers needs to learn more than anything is when to shut the **** up.

Unbelievable arrogance from a chronic underachiever. I could probably name 50 managers who wouldn't have lumbered us with Mario, Borini and Lambert and Lovren et al. Make that 150.

or thrown away a 5 point lead last year with 3 games to go.....or lose badly to an average Utd......Get played off the park by Arsenal....be unable to get his team up for a very winnable semi-final against Villa.....best man for the job my arse....

He got lucky by inheriting Suarez. Seems like he'll dine out on that for a while yet.....

I don't buy that Suarez was the sole reason for our run last year, under Kenny and Brendan's first year we finished what.. 7th, 8th, 7th? Still, I do think Brendan's time is coming to an end, I think we have made progress under him, we tasted the CL again, we put in a title challenge and we were unlucky not to make at least one final this year. I just look at our team, his transfer record and I think.. Has he done well enough with the resources given to him? No. That isn't to say he's a bad manager, last season was easily by far the most enjoyable for me in my lifetime, and that was down to BR ballsy enough to play two up top and a winger in the hole.

He contradicts himself too much, 2 months ago he said we'd be challenging for the title next season and now he's saying fifth is representative of where our squad is at. He will get another season though, I have no doubts.. The Summer signings HAVE to improve, or we'll slip further back.. Another Summer with wholesale changes, same every Summer.. Just can't get it right in the transfer market.

I will be sad to see him go, not because he is good.....but because Liverpool will more than likely get Klopp, who is a terrific manager <ok>

Kenny never had a full season with him. Suarez was unlucky not to score more....but could only really be valued after we'd introduced some pace in the manner of Studge and Sterling and some more vision behind in the shape of Coutinho. Those 3 players in BR's first full year (sterling promoted the others bought) make his reign tenable....just. Since then, we've gone backwards and he's bought a load of ****e in the main. <ok>

Agreed. He makes knee jerk, grand statements that inevitably come back to bite him in the arse. A few months ago he was banging on about Sterling being the best young player in Europe. Funnily enough, Sterling's now being a twat about his contract negotiations as he thinks he's worth more than Liverpool are offering. I suspect he knows what other talented young players in Europe are being paid.

To be fair to him, he wasn't genuinely calling himself a genius, he was criticising the hyperbole from others (presumably press, fans etc.)

it's bold for him to say he thinks he's the best man for the job, it's just plain arrogant to suggest anyone though of him as a tactical genius a few months back. BR needs to shut up and focus, just like some of our players.
