We would like to thank our supporters for once again helping to make the KC Stadium one of the safest grounds to visit in the Barclays Premier League, drawing praise from many sectors during 2014/15.

However, following a number of reported occurrences in recent months, supporters are reminded that alcohol is not permitted in any of the seated areas of the KC Stadium on football matchdays.

It is an offence, under the Sporting Events Control of Alcohol Act, to consume alcohol in view of the pitch for all Association Football matches. Anyone found to be in breach of this law will be ejected from the stadium, have their season cards withdrawn from the Football Club, be banned from the Stadium and, ultimately, may face arrest.

Any further incidents could also result in a ban on the sale of alcohol in PET bottles on the concourses.

We appreciate that this applies to a very small minority of individuals but we are keen to avoid a situation where their behaviour affects the enjoyment and safety of others.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Shouldn't affect us, we're no longer an Association Football Club apparently.

Near where I'm sat, you see it all the time. Actually, stewards encourage it.

How does this rule affect football but not rugby if it just says "Sporting Events"?

Thats just the name of the act. The rule is specifically for football fans. Although it doesn't apply as far down the pyramid as Hull United.

The police in Lokeren Belgium are asking for Hull City fans to help identify a man held in custody since 21st Aug 2014.

Because under the Sporting Events Control of Alcohol Act it only applies to Association Football.

If you go in the social club at Bridlington Town you will see a window boarded up as a few years ago the police said half of the pitch could be seen by people drinking. Now no one seems to object to someone taking their beer outside and watching the game. All plastic containers during the game though.

Reading the legislation, does it being sexist leave it open to challenge? Can "she" drink?

Offences in connection with alcohol, containers etc. at sports grounds.
(1)A person who has intoxicating liquor or an article to which this section applies in his possession—

(a)at any time during the period of a designated sporting event when he is in any area of a designated sports ground from which the event may be directly viewed,

It's massively discriminatory anyway. Only applying it to football fans is no better than only applying it to black people. Good job football is predominantly watched by straight, white, able-bodied males or someone might get offended.

What about the toffs in the executive boxes. Can they not see the pitch whilst they sip on their champers.

    Ban the ****ing hoolies.

Are the mirrors up yet? More a question for Charlie, not suggesting that you use the ladies toilet.

People actually do get pissed in there though. When it's a one off and you've got an unlimited supply. £4 a pint is enough to stop the fans in seats getting drunk.

As far as I'm aware Triple H, even the toffs behind the glass can't be seen to be consuming the stuff in view of the pitch.

Was a guest in a box a few seasons back. Just after1.30 with no one in the ground we were informed a copper in the police box had seen someone stood with a foot outside the door with a pint in his hand and to step back. You are supposed to close the shutters as not to cause trouble by enflaming the crowd with the sight of people consuming alcohol. You can't sit in the boxes drinking whilst the game is on.
This toffs and champagne thing is as tiresome as the prawn sandwich nonsense.
