Too tough for ya?? This attitude used to be prevalent in the Sunday League . New team gets formed in Division 20. Wins every game and the cup cos they're too good. Jump a few leagues winning it all the time then get down to below Div 10 and its gets hard. So they fold up and reform in 20. Bottleless.
Toughness has got nothing to do with it. For me it's all about enjoying following my football team, the game itself is only the weekly climax. I've enjoyed following City in all divisions all around the country, in the main our time in the Premier League has yielded little enjoyment and that doesn't just mean the actual games.
James Chester when he was asked about Hull Tigers last night - 'I wouldn't be happy if the club I supported wanted to change it's name.' We'll said Chezzy.
Exceptionally talented footballer and always seems like a completely sound bloke as well. He is the one player I would hate us to sell the most, him and Rosie in particular are absolute credits to the club.
Bollocks! You want your team to win games, play with passion & be ambitious. This season City haven't done that. And even if we stay up people won't stand for finishing 17th all the time. We'll want to see progress. If we had done what Palace have achieved and had steady growth in the premier league then fine, i doubt there'd be an argument for being happy to be relegated, but there is, and that's a realisation that we're not that good & we want to see some victories, rather than just see Man Utd or Liverpool etc turn up at the KC.
You measure yourself against the best. Anyone who doesnt understand or want to do that cant have any idea what sport is all about.
You measure yourself in this league with the teams around you & currently we've only got a better record against the Mackems & QPR. Newcastle, who can't buy a win, thrashed us on our own pitch. Villa- we never turned up until we we're losing Burnley- same story as above. Leicester- couldn't hit a barn door There's other teams you can add to that. If we stay up then fine. We've crawled out the mess we've made for ourselves. I want City to succeed, but i want to see them win rather than just play against the top 4.
As much as our natural instincts might dislike Tobe's view, it isn't without some essence of home-truth.
let's not have another thread on this. can the mods please create a sticky of anti allam **** and then move all posts that allude to any and all **** onto the sticky? then maybe you can email the folder to the doc.
I personally think you are correct, but it is an empty point. The shape they played was not really important; what was important was how they supported each other and it was that simple element that Bruce failed to focus on. He had the players, he had the mix (injuries did play a BIG part to be fair... but), but he simply failed to create a middle to front movement that the team were confident in. We stopped being a team and started being individuals and that loses our whole essence - the whole is greater than the sum of its parts - this was the job of Bruce Snr; to take the pick'n'mix he had brought in and create a unit (PhilBrownism) - he wasn't up to it. Simple as that in my view. Too many excuses, too many carelessly dropped points and too little belief. There is a simple answer to all of this and that is to win games - starting at Palace on Satdee - why the hell not? I believe it can be done, which is why I am doing no more predictors -I'm a bloody JONAH! Forget the bollocks, go to wherever and enjoy a good game of football - we have it in us - and be prepared to smile. Palace are beatable by Hull City AFC.
Our @HullTigersIndia account is performing well, it's generated about three more follows than Burnley have and they don't have any Twitter account in India... https://interactive.twitter.com/premierleague/#?mode=team&teamId=7 6th most popular club in North Norfolk, is that down to you Stan?
I agree whole heartedly, I just hope SB plays 442 Saturday with Rosy and Robbo as full backs, with Dawson and Chester as centre backs. Harsh on Macca abd Bruce, but we need to play Full backs in the rightful position.
I don't understand the East Riding one, as they've taken out Haltemprice and Beverley and others where we're obviously No.1, I'm not sure which bits of East Yorkshire that's supposed to be.
The map is bollocks. Apparently the largest proportion of Leicester's support (36%) comes from Walsall.
If we can draw at man city ( nearly win ) And draw at Liverpool and Arsenal we are capable of getting something from any game .. Wether we do is yet to be seen
