What ever happens this season we still have the best up and coming manager in all leagues, imagine if we had him from the start, we would have walked this league. What ever happens we can easily afford to bank roll another year down in the championship just need to keep hold of some players, its not over yet by a long way but what happens i will look back on this season with delight and at least we have had something to cheer about unlike the last couple of seasons. Bring on the play offs!
Bitterly disappointed with that to be honest. Playoffs are a compete lottery so I don't share the old "thump Ipswich at Wembley" thoughts. We may not make it that far. Gutted to be honest. Don't forget that there will be 2 other very good teams in the playoffs as well.
Cannot fathom how we lost that. We were comprehensivley outplayed the first 15 mins, but were on top for the rest of the match. Boro are horrible, just park the bus and constantly time waste by faking injuries!
Fair play to Boro, got the early goal and defended really well. But my god that time wasting was an absolute disgrace! 7 Times the physio came on for them, thats crazy. Ref certainly did not help the situation. Wish they stopped the clock when the ball is out of play like in Rugby. It happens every week and it cheats the fans who pay good money for tickets.
It was not pretty to watch and their 'gamesmanship' a disgrace. We were sucker punched early on though and looked wobbly - I haven't watched enough of us this season as am an exile, but our shots on tally was terrible, perhaps because of that big red bus parked in front of us and a referee who couldn't make his mind up about where injured players should be treated. An odd game won by an ugly ugly team.
Boro got their goal all too easily then played their game for the rest of the match.It has to be said that we never looked like scoring all night. I wish I could say that I'm looking forward to the play-offs, but I can't.

Oh dear, where to start? First of all I want to give the Smoggies quite a bit of credit, as they started very well but.......... I was disappointed with.............. Redmond when he came on Olssen for not delivering a decent ball all night Whitts for not staying with his striker for the goal but most of all NA for taking Wes off
The faking injuries, time wasting.... If we don't make the autos, I really hope they don't either. It leaves a bad taste in the mouth. If its not Ipswich, we'll have a chance of revenge on them at Wembley perhaps. I don't share the optimism going into next season. Holding the squad together, getting momentum again, against some tough sides coming down.... Urgh. I hate this league sometimes.
Sadly that was all too predictable - Middlesborough must have known that if they got the lead they of all teams could hang on to it and probably carry the greater threat. Story of the season at Carrow Rd. Norwich lacked composure in the final third for the entire second half. It was desperate stuff when it called for cool heads and craft. Not the end of the world or the season. Even if it is the play-offs - revenge is best served cold... For drama - Ipswich in the semi's then stuffing Middlesborough in the final would be an epic end to a compelling season. But who knows what will happen in the games tomorrow even...
It's annoying that the likely 2 for promotion are the 2 we've done best against while Boro and Derby have beaten us twice and held us to draws twice, respectively. Wouldn't mind getting Watford in the play-offs, if they slip up now. Seems they're gung ho style works for us while solid defensive sides can just shut our game down.
