Don't subscribe to the sentiments here, but........ Tyler Evans @TylerEvansNCFC Middlesbrough's manager hugging the fourth official at FT but didn't even shake Alex Neil's hand. Fixed. Scum. please log in to view this image
boro defended supurbly to be fair and won everything in the air,but their gamesmanship(cheating)was a joke. we started poorly, and it cost us,but if we had scored i am sure we would have gone on to win. as stated by others,i would not have taken off hoolihan or johnstone, for me tetty looked shattered and had a poor game. also i woul have bought hoops on a bit earlier, i dont want to criticise A.N as he has done so well.we can beat anyone up there with us,so bring on wembley!
I can see what Neil was trying to do. Wes had tried all night to wriggle through but was always thwarted by solid defending. As the last 20 mins approached the gaps got smaller and the brick wall Wes was running into got more solid so all he could do was push the ball out wide and the inevitable cross was always headed away by the big defenders. Neill hoped that Redmond could get in behind the defensive flank but he couldn't due to Boro always doubling up. We got more corners but they ended up with the same result as crosses. Better teams than us have failed to break down such a defensive set up and it just a pity that Howson didn't put his chance away as a draw was no use to Boro and they would have had to come out and play.
Just seen Wolves V 1p5wich ended 1-1. Latest scores Huddersfield 2 Derby 1 and Bournemouth 0 Wendys 1. Will update at 5pm!!!!
Not sure how I'd feel if both Watford and Bournemouth lose, obviously happy but also annoyed we didn't take advantage of it.
Actually not that unlikely when you put it like that. But a part of me wishes it was already settled by now so we could focus on getting through the play-offs
We also need just a point to confirm 4th in the playoffs, although granted slipping to 5th doesn't change the teams we'd face.
