Did anyone else hear Agnew on TMS say " the brown patches left , where the bowlers have followed through " ?

I'm with you Jasper, I'm almost 30 and still get excited about going to HMV and getting an album on its release date! Sad as it sounds I can't be doing with waiting around for Amazon to deliver!

Imagine how you'd then feel if people were stealing your work afterwards too. After all, it's not immoral because they need to save money where they can ;)

Crazy thing is, in the 80s it cost about £1.99 to get a single. Now it's 79p.

Why am I doing this job again!?

So what was the general consensus of opinion about BBC2's Banished..?

Remarkably, for me, I watched every episode, mostly from the iPlayer, and got caught up in it, though I can't say I found the dramatic twists and turns terribly believeable. I'm not even sure I liked it that much, but it was an engrossing experience. I'm certainly not agog with anticipation of a second series but if they made another I might watch it.

Pretty dull, and pedestrian is my concensus. I haven't watched the final episode yet, but have stuck with it nevertheless. Jimmy McGovern usually writes really engaging, gritty stuff, and although the idea of this was good, it was a bit ploddy, predictable and repetitive. "Who shall we attempt to hang next, even though we know somebody will come in and save the day?"

Indeed. Well, I won't spoil it for you, but there are one or two final twists.

Interesting that, like me, you stuck with it. :emoticon-0126-nerd:

Oh well that is at least something to look forward to then.

Yes, I guess I stuck with it because it was quite easy-going, and not irritating really. The acting is fairly good, and I do like the characters. I think they could have done a lot more when that guy ran into the outback.

Let my sister have it years ago , circuit board broke and they were not prepared to spend over £900.00 to get it fixed , so I have it back . Just need to have a major re-org here ( and save up ) and get it up and running , and get my LP's here from my parents ! FYI LP12 1982 , ittok arm Asaka cartridge . no rush :)

More going in Poldark most definitely.

Just finished the final episode of Banished, and thought it was an OK finish.
