They mightn't register to most of you but not EC (who ironically liked your post). He never stops going on about QPR. The guy is obsessed.

Where has the venom come from though mate? When did it first surface? It certainly wasn't there in the 80's and early 90. In fact, whether it be home or away you barely turned up and that's not being detrimental, just saying it as it was.

I have said previously and I repeat I have some great QPR mates who can't answer the question as to why your younger lot are filled with such hate. Of course with the close proximity of the two clubs there's going to be a local rivalry but similar to Fulham it has always been little more than friendly banter on our part. We were always far too busy hating Leeds and Spurs from my memory.

Anyway, you describe in another post about how close the game was on Sunday and I agree wholeheartedly. Winning all 3 points was a bit smash and grab on our part if we're honest. However, I'm intrigued to see on your board about pride in the defeat and pride in the performance particularly effort / commitment wise. Personally I'd be raging and questioning where this has been for the last 8 months or so. I'd have the overwhelming feeling of being cheated by the players yet this seems to be forgotten after a decent performance against the league leaders.

Good luck in the remaining games. I think your in with a good shout of survival.

I think a lot of it is jealousy.
Fulham have never really registered as a bitter rival because we havent really played them much in the last 60 years, and even when we have occupied the same league in recent years, we are fighting at opposite ends of the table.
With QPR, I think in the 80's and early 90's there wasnt much between us in quality, we were both sort of midtable teams.
Then we became a top 6 side under Gullitt and Vialli and they got relegated so we went in opposite directions, then Roman comes along and makes us a power house whilst they are stuck yo-yoing between leagues.
I can see how that may irk some, then throw in the Terry incident to stoke the fires and its just blown up.

That sounds plausible Bod. Jealousy is an evil emotion. I can recall such jealousy almost country wide when United started having their first successes in the modern era. It was almost fashionable to hate them but it was always dirty Leeds for me.

Haven't a clue mate. I'm not from London so it beats the sh*t out of me

I think that's a fair point. If we can keep it that tight against the best in the league then why not more often?

Fink we're up against it now but who knows? Best of luck yourselves

I go back a bit further than you Bod and have some great mates who follow QPR. They are nothing like the new breed who seem to find it fashionable to hate us for no good reason. Going there in years past was a day out on the pi55 for us and spotting a QPR fan on their own terraces was as rare as white dog ****e.

I had a similar run on their message board a couple of weeks back where aids was wished upon me by one charming individual prior to the banning stick being implemented because they couldn't take this 'banter' they all seem so fond off.

If ever there was such a thing as small club syndrome it's QPR.

Yep. I even remember them putting their programme prices up to match ours because we outnumbered them and they wanted to cash in.

Just for you sweet cheeks. You boys love it when I post my ticket stubs <laugh>

Last qpr one I will have for another decade or so <ok> You probably threw yours at Matic

Why use his loyalty points up to sit in the away end when there are plenty of home tickets left unsold <whistle>

I remember that - my Chelsea supporting mate showed me a copy from about 1987. Basically said "we apologise to our fans but they're used to paying extra so they won't mind" <laugh>

the ****? They made scarves for just a normal league game?!
Fair enough a cup final or something, or game 38 if you are going for the title but.......<confused>

Yeah that's right. It was the time of the artificial pitch. Stewards were sweeping celery of it. One all it finished. Crap game too. <laugh>

Can we stop with this QPR **** guys.
7 of the threads on our first page are, either directly or indirectly, about Queens Park ****ing Rangers, and I don't know about you guys, but I am sick of ****ing hearing about them.
We are trying to to let them know that they are inconsequential to us, and this does nothing to further our cause.
I don't want to hear from them, or about them, and to be frank it is pissing me off.
So let's drop it.
