Very interesting one running tomorrow in the shape of old boy Gosden’s SACRED ACT (4.10 Nottingham). Only had 2 runs to date both in April of last year. First up he won a maiden in most eyecatching fashion, over tomorrow’s course and distance, prior to then running in the ‘Esher Cup’. Ran off the same mark (90) as he will of the morrow and was backed as if defeat was out of the question despite the race being a seriously hot one. However, Sacred Act didn’t run his race that day and then that cruel mistress, injury, intervened which meant that he ended his 3YO campaign with just those 2 races under his belt.

He was at this point last season viewed as a potential Group horse and the fact that connections have preserved with him would indicate that is still very much the case. Off 90 tomorrow and up against some pretty exposed types I would imagine that old boy Gosden would only be expecting one outcome prior to a step up to Group level.

HOY HOY 6-1 Lingfield 3:30 is a stonking good price and I cant see it going off at anything like that. The favourite does NOT get the trip and the next two in the betting are coming back from long injury layoffs and will almost certainly need the run. HOY HOY however has had a recent warm up and gets the trip nicely. He won his maiden on turf a couple of runs ago and has been dropped a couple of pounds after a recent outing at Wolves. He has more scope than anything else in the field and a first time tongue tie may eke out some improvement also. Looks good value.

    420 Catterick
    Powerful Presence

Dropped into a 0-75 for the first time and this one has already been backed quite heavily, you can still get 4/1 if your quick.

For me tomorrow I'm going on the following for the following reasons.

4.10 Nott SACRED ART as Barney has put this one up very early.
3.30 Ling HOY HOY as Stick has flagged this one up.
2.40 Nott MOON RIVER as this has a couple of recent wins, should be fitter than most in the race and will like the forecast soft ground.
3.50 Catt TRIXIE MALONE was a horse in very good form last season. Gets on very well with this young jockey.
4.20 Catt PICENO going against Boil in this one as PICENO won this race kast year and I think he will go very well again. Apart from his last 2 races at Catterick over the years he has a record of 22313 over the C&D.
4.40 Nott WHAT ASPHAM to get the hat trick up on ground he should relish.

    Good luck all.

    Morning all.

John F Kennedy possibly running in the Ballysax this weekend.

Any news on the likely aims for Sir Isaac Newton and Ol' Man River?

Looking forward to this weekend of sport, especially the Masters! Quite fancy Ricky Fowler to land it but I will be doing some traditional e/w lonngshots too.

US MASTERS - Dustin Johnson (20-1) has a massive chance. Also like Jordan Speith (12-1) and Jimmy Walker (25-1). All 3 are in great form on the US tour and ready to win a major.

A game I would leave alone, both teams have injuries and suspensions. Blackburns home form is not to great at present and Liverpool have there own problems at the moment. I would go for a 0-0 score and maybe go all the way to pens.

Lol, he's rightly priced up short being world number one but he's a crazy price in my eyes. Not one top 5 finish in 6 starts here counts for a lot and barring that deluge of rain forecast I wouldn't fancy his chances here either this week but good luck with him.

Watch him win by 10 shots now :)

Just for the record I've plumped for Phil Mickelson at 25/1 and Rickie Fowler at 33/1.
