sorry to do this to death, but these plastic fans who wont buy the shirt "cos l**ds fans laugh at us" are pissing me off beyond belief. i got mocked for supporting city at a young age, regardless of sponsor. and if the badge on the front of the shirt puts you off supporting us, piss off and buy a man u shirt and support them instead.

Personally, I don't see that refusing to buy a shirt means that you don't support the team??? I personally will never have fkn Cashconverters across any shirt of mine. I'll happily go into the shop and buy stuff for the grandkids or buy a leisure shirt for myself or whatever but just refuse to advertise that particular company. I appreciate the money coming into the club through the deal, I just don't want to be a part of it. No need to say that I need to piss off and buy a Man Utd shirt?

Damn i better go buy the shirt otherwise i may be considered a plastic fan, doesn't matter that it's going to cost me £40 when i could do with saving money .... personally nowadays i like to wear old shirts that have bought following city for numourous years and wait for the new ones to come down in price :emoticon-0105-wink:

Right on! Someone suggested on a previous thread that the club should make replica shirts available WITHOUT Gash Converters logo, so that conscientious objectors gould at least wear the colours. Fans of City - not fans of Gash Converters.....

Like I said, I see it that this season that I will buy 3 or 4 leisure or tee shirts from the shop instead of a shirt. That way the club still get my hard earned but I don't walk about like a sandwich board man advertising a place for druggies to sell their stolen stuff to get a fix???

I think you are making too much of a negative stereotype that isn't necessarily there. It's just pure snobbery. Would you like to be sponsored by a bank? Bearing in mind some of them are partly responsible for the global financial collapse. And what of wonga.com? A company that charges interest at 2000% (that's two thousand percent) that is not an ethical company to deal with.
I'm sorry, but to me people who dont buy the shirt because of the logo are the same ilk as those who dont buy a ticket because we're doing crap.

Are you for real. What have banks got to do with it? I don't like cashconverters - so I don't buy a ticket if we're doing crap? - Fk right off. I buy a ticket week in week out, however we are doing. Have done for over 50 years.

I don't agree with supporting one particular company, which has previously had no connections with our club.

Where would you draw your line in the sand????

What if the sponsor turned out to be a porn site? Or another site that gave YOU the jeebies? Well all I'm saying is that this is one company that I will not be supporting. I will support our club like I have always done - what is your fkn problem???

Right, I shall talk nice and slowly for you. The comparison between cash converters and their alledged immoral practices and banks was to highlight the flaw in your argument. Let's be honest, you dont want this sponsor because you are snobs.

Right, I'll talk to you equally slowly but I still don't think it will sink in. Banks mean nothing to me, I own nothing, I have nothing to be snobbish about. I have made no references to immoral practices alledged or otherwise. I simply refuse to advertise cashconverters at a £40 cost to me. I would rather spend the £40 at the club on stuff that does not have the cashconverters logo on it. How much slower do you want me to go before your fkn brain starts working?

Talk slower. Why will you not buy a shirt with cash converters on it?

But did you happily advertise a place where people could gamble away their rent money?(totesport) or what about a lending company with extortionate interest rates (sportscard) if I could be bothered i could name more companies that could offend your sensitive ethical mind.
You don't get it do you. YOu decided you didn't like the name and that's it. Point over. And because I DARE have a different oppinion and dare voice it, I have to be victim of insults.

I must be a super plastic fan then :( Being from Sweden and not being able to afford the latest shirt (will probably try to buy the 08-model instead). I have a "We are Hull City AFC" T-shirt+a random tiger hat which my cat wears now and then (yeah, it is random) and a Deano-scarf+training kit from 08 if somebody wonders, hmm.....<badger>

I contribute as much as I can afford! Let us buy what we want El barninho, doesn't decide if we're City fans or not. If you wanna buy some City knickers and wear during match days, go ahead (even though it would be kinda weird). If somebody doesn't want to buy the latest shirt cause they don't like it, go ahead. They/We/I will contribute in some other way.

What would you be saying on this board if Leeds had Cash Converters as their new sponsor?? Taking the p*** maybe? Theres a good reason why people dont wanna buy the shirt and they have the right to choose.
