Anyone who would rather accept a lower form of competition because it's easier to be mediocre is essentially a loser.

There wasn't much entertainment when I used to watch City in the 3rd + 4th divisions. It was a bloody good laugh though.Professional sport is entertainment and nothing more, its something to fill your time before you kick the bucket, if your not entertained whats the point in going?
As fans you accept whatever happens because you have absolutely no influence on the club at all, the least you can hope for is to be entertained along the way.
I was thinking about that the other day, and I think I just got used to the fact we were ****, and I accepted we'd never really amount to bugger all, but, I didn't care about that, just watching us kick a ball around a pitch was enough for me.if fans get bored in the premier league god knows what you would have done supporting city in the lower divisions playing at Boothferry park losing to the likes of Orient that was crap. I had a laugh at times but because it was such s----- we got used to it so just accepted it. If we went back to them days I don't think there would be many on here left.
It wasn't all bad the 83 til 90 period was pretty good to meI was thinking about that the other day, and I think I just got used to the fact we were ****, and I accepted we'd never really amount to bugger all, but, I didn't care about that, just watching us kick a ball around a pitch was enough for me.
The whole promotion thing took a bit of getting used to if Im honest.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, I still do, and sure we weren't always utter crap, but there was never really any expectations either. It wasn't all bad the 83 til 90 period was pretty good to me

for a club like ours, I don't really enjoy it at all apart from one or two good wins each season, we are rubbish, wheres the fun in getting beat nearly every game, 145 games so far played 30 wins.
Steve Bruce is he really a good Prem manager? not for us, he's only two wins better off than Browny who was a novice, Browny gave us a fantastic start to our first season before we got found out and although we got to the FA Cup final with Bruce, this season has been awful it started with the Lokeren surrender, that was terrible management by Bruce.
Burnley away, the McShane falling out, Curtis Davis, Herandez, playing injured players, blaming everyone but himself for picking wrong players, the list goes on.
At Christmas when we beat Sunderland away I thought we were on track but it's slipping away now, Burnley should have beat Spurs, Sunlan fans roared their team to victory, we didn't get off the bus yesterday, the players apart from Macca were dreadful, the manager looks like hanging himself.
I think we're going down and to be honest the bonus of that will see Allam lose a shed load of money, serve the old **** right.
It's not **** for Swansea and Stoke supporters because they've established themselves by not over-spending.
Hard to disagree with any of that.
Meh, what's their aim every year - a decent cup run? They'll never make top 6 and at the moment never look like being bottom 6. Boring as **** if you ask me.

Who says they can't finish Top 6? Newcastle, Villa, Southampton and others have had that capability in recent years.

You've just named 3 clubs with lengthy recent top flight records. Villa and Newcastle came 2nd in the Premier League if my memory serves me right, the former have won the European Cup. I'd say they're really big clubs who have hit upon recent hard times rather than Swansea being a perennial lower league club who are in recent good times.
Let's all go follow Man United or Chelsea then since Hull won't ever amount to much.
You're basically making a case for being a glory supporter.
How am I? I never at any stage said anything remotely along the lines of changing the team that you support to one that wins. If anything I'm making a case for the exact opposite - get relegated cos it's more fun to see the team you support actually win some games.
