    One of many this weekend.

Sunderland needed that win. Makes Villa v QPR on Tuesday even more important for both. Last day of season - Villa v Burnley & Leicester v QPR

Probably the best one of all the 'goals of the season' this weekend.

That pretty much sums up Fletcher and while I wanted to see Sunderland get relegated, nice to see Defoe score a cracker.

Yeah, just broken my post-Burnley sulk to watch it. Glad he's back doing the business in the Premier League and that one more than makes up for his miss against West Ham in the previous game.

Desperate last roll of the dice hoping a new man can muster a few wins on the trot to give them a chance. Graeme Jones is the early favourite, although I can't see why he'd want to leave his job at Everton, Wigan don't have the stature to make bouncing back up easy, I could see them settling in League One for awhile.

Good day for goals in the Championship. Bournemouth coming back to win from 2 behind to win and Brentford recovering a 2 goal defecit in the last 10 minutes to draw for the second time in the last couple of weeks, very much the Spurs of the Championship. Surprise of the day has to be Bolton's win at Cardiff, didn't see that coming especially by a 3-0 scoreline.

Blackpool relegated. Lee Clark had that 43 game unbeaten run with Huddersfield, since then he has been terrible as a manager.

But as for Malky Mackay, didn't some fans want him to take over from AVB!

    Yeah, Arsenal fans.

Anyway, you're up in Scotland, why didn't you tell us about Alex Neil? :D He's done a fantastic job at Hamilton and now Norwich, 10 wins in 15 now.

Yes, he is doing a fine job! But YV, I retired as a scout many years ago, I still have the email where I said Charlie Adam would make it as a top premier league player after seeing him in action for Glasgow Rangers :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I don't remember anyone calling for Malky at Spurs, but I do remember people wanting Owen Coyle and Martinez and even Steve Clarke. Coyle and Clarke both look like tramps and whilst Martinez is charming and smart looking, he is only marginally better than the other two.

He's done a job on various top Premier League players. Does that count?

Never wanted any of them but I'll hold my hands up on Laudrup, I think I'm the only one that rates him.

Blanc was the one I wanted before we got AVB. I know he's got a huge budget at PSG but they play some really excellent football which is more than can be said for certain other managers at super rich clubs <whistle>

  17. Palace take the lead against City, totally against the run of play and with possibly 2 offside!!
The atmosphere at Selhurst Park is again the best in the PL. Awesome noise and support - real credit to the club.

Just so we're clear on this, if the choice for Spurs manager was Brendan Rodgers or Jurgen Klopp...you'd pick Rodgers because he scrubs up better?

I think the Man City manager might need to check there's air in his bike tyres.Next one for the boot!
