Watford take the lead at Derby wich takes them to top of the league. Looks to be great away support there.
Derby have won twice in their last 10 games while Watford have lost twice in their last ten games. Gomes at the lane next year?
Kenwyne Jones scored the Bournemouth equaliser at Ipswich today. Missed that one. Derby have fallen off at the wrong time. They were 5 points clear on 65 a few weeks ago - now 8th on 67 points, 8 points from top.
Never a red, refs just can't give themselves a break can they. Pure idiocy from Motta though, they were in control at that point.
2-2 and it's game on! Lovely pass from the right back, first time and perfectly weighted. Nice finish too. Bent can't beat Gomes one on one at the other end.
Everytime I watch Hughes I just don't get the fuss about him. Good passer but when at number 10 he's always running backward to receive the ball which suggests to me that his positioning's poor and 2-1 up against 10 men in a deeper role he should've been taking control but was missing for a lot of the half. Bit of nostalgia near the end there with Gomes flapping at a freekick
PL form table - last ten games (W-D-L-Pts) Arsenal 9-0-1-27 Liverpool 8-1-1-25 Chelsea 6-3-1-21 Man Utd 7-1-2-21 Tottenham 6-1-3-19 C.Palace 6-1-3-19 Soton 5-2-3-17 Stoke 5-1-4-16 WBA 4-3-3-15 Man City 4-3-3-15 Swansea 4-2-4-14 Everton 3-4-3-13 West Ham 2-4-4-10 Hull 2-3-5-9 Burnley 2-2-6-8 Newcastle 2-2-6-8 Leicester 1-3-6-6 Sunderland 1-3-6-6 Aston Villa 2-0-8-6 QPR 1-0-9-3
1) short career argument is bollocks...he has earned £35 grand per week for the past 2 years...thats makes approx £3.2m in the past 2 yrs...not including all his bonuses, image rights and sponsorship deals. He should be set for life already. 2) i have every right to complain...i only get to go to 2 or 3 prem games per season cos they are so expensive. I have seen qpr, swansea and am going to the hull match...these were £30 each. My only other matches have been uefa matches and coc matches cos they were £20 each. The idea that fans are responsible for the greed in football is absurd. Am i supposed to stop going to spurs after going since 1981? Imo players should be able to move but that does not excuse their greed. Hundreds of thousands a week...bonuses...sponsorship deals and adverts...and they still want more. Me changing jobs (like most people) for more money would make a massive difference to my families standard of living...that simply is not the case for players like stirling. I have no problem with bale, modric etc leaving to win things that they couldn't at spurs. But that doesn't change the fact that the money they earn is obscene. Football should use the TV money to lower ticket prices. They are pricing us out and that's why the atmosphere at all established premier league clubs is pretty rubbish most weeks...they are getting a mix of tourists and consumers...you referred to us as consumers earlier but real supporters are fans ... it is the newer richer lot that can afford to go that are the consumers. I know that many who go are genuine fans, but a growing number are not.
Crazy game today. Goons dominated the first 15 mins and should have been in front. Now, L'pool have a two on one against the keeper, Markovic ****s up a simple pass to Sterling - chance gone, still 0-0.
Dear Brendan Rodgers, You're ****. Love, everyone that watched the first five minutes of that half and could see what was coming.
Sanchez is some player, hugely impressive ability and attitude to go with it. Although its never nice to see Arsenal climb the table towards the top, this is probably a good result for us if it stays this way.
What was the Rodgers quote again, something about a club spending £100mill should be challenging for the title? Really wanted them to win today though, 8 games to go an it looks like we need a miracle to get top 4 if United win today too.
