Bull or Red Bull?

probably a load of bollocks, there was even a rumour Millwall won a game yesterday
Who fancies being called Red Bull Leeds, or Red Bull United, or Leeds Red Bull United playing at the Red Bull stadium?
Not me for one, it could see the end of our name Leeds United. They don't seem to have made Salzburg or Leipzig in to powerhouse teams.
Maybe we do need to be carefull of what we wish for..

They can call us anything they like, but it'll just be a name on paper - we'll still be Leeds, we'll still support Leeds, we'll still talk about Leeds, and we'll still sing about Leeds. They may take our name, but they'll never take our freedom!!!

I agree, to the fans it will still be Leeds United, but in the press and media it will be printed Red Bull something which, over time can see the name Leeds United slowly disappear.
watch this space ... Russell Crowe may well join as a shareholder to help Red Bull boost the club's image ... RB are trying to get the deal over the line for the end of the season, and Redders will be offered his role in Academy again ... hmmm, so who will the new manager be? Lokomotiv Leipzig will be sold off as Salzburg have a better chance of getting Champs Lge in Austria for a lot less money than in Bundesliga ... interesting times indeed, as long as Cellino keeps playing ball ... Umbers was made Chairman in Cellino's absence to keep talks going, so fingers crossed

I believe UK and Championship football has surprised him a little and he now realises Serie B cast offs on the cheap are not going to get us promoted nor are coaches willing to work for peanuts.
Also worth a mention that the local press in Milton Keynes have been on to the story for several months, it won't go away despite the denials by those concerned. Yes I want it to be true and for me it is something positive to wish for.
I think it is more a case that we are trying to make some sort of sense of proceedings. The Red Bull rumour keeps resurfacing, Cellino faces further future court hearings that might well end up with him being banned, maybe now is a good time for him to sell.

If they takeover and actually run the club sensibly which seems like a complete dream in recent times then I for one will be completely happy. Every sport they go into they want to be the best, football really is one of the only sports where they have attempted and not been able to, they see Leeds as a big club which is struggling to get back to past glory and think its probably the best option for them.
However, if they rename the club or change the kit colour I will not support this movement and they must be able to see they would lose the vast majority of fans' support and even a drastically lower attendance than it is currently. If they do this then they can get ****ed. I wouldn't be as against them renaming the stadium especially if it meant we actually owned it, still wouldn't be ideal but with FFP they have to do something to be able to pump money into the club (if they actually would be pumping money which I personally don't believe they will) without being completely dodgy.

One certainty with Cellino owning us we won't win anything else in my lifetime, with red bull or someone else with financial clout we just might!
Formula 1 now bores me rigid, but I now want the rumour of red bull pulling out to be true. That will leave a shed load of cash to run a club at the top of the english game with lots of cash to spare.

Quick question though, and I highly doubt this'll be Red Bull's plan if they do take over so purely hypothetical.
Would people actually be ok with huge amounts of money piled into the club? Like Man City or Chelsea? I personally absolutely hate what those two clubs have done to english football and I would not be happy with it happening at leeds (I'd certainly take it mind you). It's just not my ideal when it comes to leeds united. I'd considerably prefer the Swansea or Southampton approach and then kicking on from where they are now. If the money did come in, I'd prefer it to be spent on the academy and us producing our own talent for the most part as well as some shrewd signings.

The Red Bull takeover has surfaced twice, and twice Red Bull have stated they have no intentions of taking over Leeds United.

The sad truth is they could put us in red shirts, white shorts and black socks, call the ground the theatre of broken dreams, and IF we became an English and European force with an occasional trophy then I along with 90% of you would eventually go along with it. More importantly how many of the 3 million who live within an hour of leeds would start to go to games?
The key word in the above is IF.
Yea I know but I personally would feel distant from the club, I'm not sure I would have the same enthusiasm for it as I currently do even with all the current problems.
Personally I wouldn't want Red Bull near the club. They'd definitely change the name to something pathetic like Red Bull Leeds and I don't want us to be one of these clubs who buy a shortcut to success.
I'd prefer us to do it the Swansea/Southampton way, only we would take it further than those two clubs.
We just need to keep hold of all our best youngsters, and build from that. Trouble is we also need stability and there's not much chance of that with all the ****ing about by the clowns in the boardroom
They can **** right off with the colour change. That's whats so wrong with this country today, people are so mercenary they'd sell their soul for a bit of success, some reflected glory. How ****ing sad is that?
For better or worse in football since sky and uefa ruined it the only thing that matters is ££££££££.
