Like both ale and lagers me, Stella used to be the best lager by far until they ****ed about with it. When it was brewed to 5.2% vol it was nectar, now it's gnat's piss just like mainstream lagers. To be honest anything brewed under 5% vol is dishwater to my pallet

You generally don't find anything on the continent that's weaker than 5%. I have to admit welly, I was a Special Brew boy for a while. I remember the first thing I did when I stayed in Cali back in 2001 was hit the liquor store to buy a 40 ounce of Olde English (malt liquor) before we'd even got to the apartment from the airport. I then sat on the porch drinking Boyz in the Hood style. <gangster>

We have Julbrew out here it's 4.7% and a half decent lager, apart from that it's just local spirt 'sum sum' and palm wine. Not a lot of choice but better than nothing. Had the opportunity to drink some of your Adnams whiskey recently. Ain't half bad to be honest.
