More or less; as I said above, I think the only hope for the mafia is to wait with their powers until the detectives have been revealed. As I also said above, we've reduced the game to a maths problem.

MITO may as well reveal everyone's roles now and we go from there, save us several days of waiting in the meantime.

Personally, I don't think no lynch should be an option. Of course you're free to not vote for anyone, but I don't think the idea of the game is to sit and wait for the inevitable conclusion. It's like watching Chelsea. I thought we were here to have fun instead?

Well this is more experimental than an original game.

I already agreed that in a scenario with limited mafia actions there shouldn't be a no lynch.

But not voting is a boring cop-out, so no vote should be a suicide, or coinflip for suicide with other non-voters.

I'm already finding this thread hilarious, we better not all just sit back and do nothing throughout the game lol

So if we go for a boring maths strategy make sure you all keep talking please!

Not really a maths thing, more a case of getting randoms in the lynch so we can look for reactions. Once the game as started, who do we establish who the randoms are?

I was referring more to the no lynch strategy, randomly choosing people is also a bit mathsy, but less so.

People have sugegsted Obi Wan, Valley and Bod - we could go with those three for now?

Problem with doing the random approach once the game as started is that it could be Mafia choosing who the randoms are. Maybe we could ask MITO to do the random number generated three times and that's who gets put in the lynch...?

Well that defeats the whole point of the game <doh>

But why ffs?
If you just pick 3 random people with nothing to go on, it surely just means, at this stage, that you have like a 70% chance of lynching a townie.
Makes no sense

I'll remember you said that next time you are dissing Chelsea's play style <laugh>

was just about to say the same.. Way a few of you are talking it's like we all sit here in silence, let the recruiters do their thing and then gaure tee a win... But when Someone is recruited, it means we can't trust the detectives anyway so pointless.

Do you have an alternate first day strategy we can consider?

People? Suggested? <doh>

I said those three as a gut feeling but purely for my own ego building come the end of the game when I'm proved right :)

Astro has already given it......

I can't think of a single more boring way to play this game than to do nothing until the investigators figure the whole game out for us... And surely it only works until an investigator is recruited and then all our info is unreliable anyway?

It seems rather boring and is one of the highest percentage wins manoeuver but it will fall apart as soon as the investigator gets killed or recruited

The mafia have one recruitment. If no-one says anything, they have a one in ten chance of recuiting the detective. One in six if they kill off two others first. They're not good odds for the mafia.

Or one in 9 once we lynch a townie tonight
