Sans Studge, Skrtel, Stampard and Sterling's got a monk on. Just to piss us off, Arsenal have three key players coming back from injury. Dear God.
 
Arsenal are getting more praise than they deserve. I honestly dont see Livpl losing.

In the league we've had a mixed bag of results against the big teams but add in a win over city in the community shield and a win over utd in the fa cup and our success against the big boys is more acceptable.

Toure must replace Skrtel. He brings experience and leadership plus he's decent in the air and he can sweep up fairly well too, as best a fit bar Skrtel for the central CB. A defence of Can, Sakho and Lovren would scare the **** out of me too!

Get Sterling back further forward. With Sturridge missing, I'd actually put him up top (Balotelli can continue being a impact player IMO, its been working for him so why change it?). Pushing sterling further forward means we need someone on the right so bring Marko back in, he found form in this position not so long ago and he's gone quiet since being move and eventually resulting in him getting dropped.

I would drop Lallana too but we lack options. Of course, we may not have a choice should he not recover from injury, in which case move Sterling back and play Mario.

Moreno has been pants recently but the lack of options is somewhat telling. Bring Enrique back in for a couple of games, least we know he'll get back to defend, possibly a better end product when attacking too but that's not saying much.

Lastly, Allen's had a decent run but was raped on live national television last week so could do with a bit of recovery. Get Lucas back in there to protect that seemingly fragile again defence.

It's not the best looking eleven but I think its the best we can muster considering current form and availability.

Wouldn't disagree with that, but Enrique is injured as far as I'm aware? Was in Dubai "recovering" by swimming with dolphins last time I saw..?

I can actually see Rodgers bringing Johnson at RWB though...

Don't count for what? They don't count as points n the league as they are games in different competitions, that's obvious for anyone who read what I was writing.

But as far as our results against the big teams this season and how we have fared you'd have to say they do count.

You beat the mancs at old Trafford through a back pass by their defender but you were under the cosh most of the match. <whistle>
