Are you tickler in disguise?
This event is bad enough, but a lot of the posts on here range from worrying to simply poor. OLM should have shut it and followed his better judgment. It's off topic and moved to petty bickering, get a life you lot, ffs.![]()
You speak as if the pilot was thinking straight.
Considering your pathetic comment earlier, it's clear you have absolutely zero understanding or experience about the illness.
And before you come out with some ****e about defending the pilots actions, I'm not, just stating the fact that depression isn't as black and white as you seem to think. It really ****s with people's heads.
According to the police, they found something at one of his houses that may shed some light on his decision making processes. Not released any details yet though.
dumped by his girlfriend
Yet again you make stupid assumptions about things you know **** all about, in this case - me, and my experience of depression..........
What that man did was a deliberate and conscious act - he chose to do away with himself, but he also chose to do so in a way that he KNEW would take a plane load of people with him. His depression doesn't in any way make that action anything other than a selfish, evil act.
There's no assumption there, it's a statement of fact.He says, whilst proving the 'stupid assumption' correct again.
It's always the first thought. That and he's 'struggling to come out'.
If that's the reason then what a massive ****er.
I just assumed he left to use the toilet, I doubt it was planned. For all we know he could have been wanting to do it for weeks but the other pilot never left, it just happened that this flight the opportunity arose and he took it.
I flew with Lufthansa on Monday and I am again today. Venice to Manchester via Frankfurt... They haven't implemented the two in the cockpit rule yet despite the fact they're the parent company of German wings
how many times have you seen the pilot queuing outside the toilets? "hurry up I have to land in 10 minutes"
the pilots have their own private toilet in the cockpit.

You know that for a fact? In every type of plane?
on an Airbus 320?
