Paxman basically walked him through last elections manifesto promises and where he'd broken them. Cameron kept trying to turn an assessment of his performance so far into his projection for the next term but Paxman wouldn't let him and kept bringing it back to the point of his questions till he'd admitted failure on each one.

Harder when you're in-post to defend your position and record than when you're on the outside criticising. DC did well on the audience questions.
 
Yeah they were a bit. Didn't see the Paxman bit, heard it was brutal.

Can't abide EM though.
 
Don't see how anybody can keep his promises in a coalition. They're always a fudge job. Not taking Cameron's side, mind, but what made me vote against proportional representation was the idea that we'd get more coalitions.

I have no opinion on that as he hasn't had long enough to break his promises unlike the other two.

Having said that honesty isn't all that high up on my list of desired attributes for a potential PM I'd prefer an able liar to an honest halfwit.

I don't really think any of them are able mind.

I don't know why there wasn't a referendum on proportional representation which surely, in theory, is the best way to go?
 
Well I think Miliband did very well there. Paxman shot himself in the foot by swaying the questions away from policy as it's where Miliband is weakest. Miliband needs to get firm promises in place, there's nothing concrete, he'll struggle to win a majority without committing to some figures.
