Sounds flawless but everybody would vote for what's best for them.

The poor would win every vote essentially.

The rich would all just leave the country.

Well yeah, they're in it for themselves ultimately.

The stupidest part is Conservative are doing no conservation (everything is changing for the worse) and Labour reward laziness.

I don't plan on being here for the next one, so whatever mess they make shouldn't have much of a bearing on me personally.

Nicola Sturgeon will be running the country by default come May.

The SNP will win a bucket load of seats in Scotland and she will hold the balance of power. DC and EM will have to do deals with her (Clegg will be an irrelevance). Will be interesting to see if she still wants Scotland to go it alone when she is effectively running the UK!!!

That's what the right wing press keep ramming down our throats, but if you take the time to listen what he is saying rather than how our media portray him then you might just see him differently..

I studied Politics 30 years ago RAW. I'm not even remotely naive about any of them.

And I'm hardly an impressionable young'un either, and not easily influenced by the right wing or left wing press.

Disagree fella, whoever comes in the country will keep it ticking over, but who ever is in change is going to make peoples lives hell. Different people for different governments. My vote is going purely on the party who won't drag my lass through the mill anymore, call her a lair and make her health worse. It's an important election for me as the present government is starving my lady of social support and healthcare as well as benefits she's entitled to. She wants to move on with her life, build a career then start a family but the Tories are sending her backwards with their treatment for her. It's the most impotent election I've ever voted on as getting my lady back firing on all cylinders hinges on the results.

Out of interest mate, if you had it your way, would you prefer Labour in power under Milliband or Labour in power under another leader?

He seems to be the biggest stumbling block for people it would seem, the amount of times I've heard people say things like "I'd never vote for that (Insert insult here)" about him is, well, a lot.

Apparently he handled himself with Paxman a lot better than Cameron did! But Milliband make me think of those people who get to the second or third round of the apprentice then get fired - just hasn;t got the demeanour or stature to run the country and that's the biggest issue Labour have! Him and his brother are both idiots!

I'm not an avid fan of politics mate, I'm rarely reading up on these things, simply because the cycle just seems to revolve from one set of liars to another.

I'd be very suspicious of any human being who claims to be able to have a recipe for repairing this ****ed up country.

He did handle himself better, much better, but Paxman strayed from policy to attack his personality which was a bad move. Ed is week on policy, that was where to get him. Who cares if some of his own back benchers doesn't like, that's common to any leader, Tories have had back benchers defect, Ed hasn't, was daft of Paxman as he could have hung him out to dry if he pressed him over policy.

I agree but different parties of liars benefit different people in society. You said Labour rewards laziness which is fair dos, but the tories tar the needy with that brush and punish them for those lazy people. Just ask anyone who's had an ATOS medical. My lady has been caught in limbo for year thanks to those thick posh toffs tarring everyone with the same brush. I know under a Labour government my lady will more chance of getting the support she needs from the three areas she's been denied so both myself and her can move on and start contributing to society instead of been made to feel like worthless scumbags while the Tories call us lazy yet force us to stay tangled in a vicious circle. No matter how much they try to force her to work, her Doctor will not allow them to do this. if it wasn't for her GP she's have no protection at all. I can't vote help us fix this country, nobody can, but I can vote on the best party to deliver the basic rights that this country professes to offer.

Haven't seen it yet mate but will be watching it over the weekend. Will be able to give a more rounded opinion then - as for your mrs - hope she gets sorted out mate - the government also stopped my father in law (65 and can;t walk further than a few metres without a zimmer) from getting his dla or whatever it is now. Mobility stopped for a couple of months as the next door neighbour (one person who doesn't get on) said he was cutting the grass (I cut the grass for him every time it's needed) - same thing - he's been luckier than your other half seemingly as, eventually, they gave him it back after investigations but I hope that whatever happens you get sorted out. No-one deserves to be made to feel that way by the government's policies and to be made to feel like a liar because of it is disgraceful IMO.

That's shocking mate, disgusting. No way to treat people.

As for my lass, well it's all her claim so only she can challenge all this, for that she needs social support which she's been denied because of cuts. She can't go to CAB because of the sit and wait system where the people there scare the **** out of her which triggers anxiety which triggers her chest condition which then physically debilitates her as well as mentally. On a waiting list for help from Mind with the claim. When that will be I don't know.

That's a fair argument mate, when you vote from an individual perspective I guess it holds more gravity than for somebody like me who basically has given up on the country and doesn't care too much.

Out of interest mate, what's the plan if Cons win the election for you and the Mrs? Surely you can't just be prepared to lie down and weather the storm so to speak?

What can we do fella apart from bend over and take it? Eventually she'll get psychotherapy through a charity, good knows how long that will be, those lucky enough to get it through the NHS are on massive waiting lists so dread to think how long the charities will take, in the meantime more medications to try and keep symptoms at bay. She's finally found a good antidepressant which works for her so at least her mood is better and she can get out a bit more but unfortunately there's so much more to her illness then just her mood and then there's side effects from some of her medications which have debilitated her.
