Me too, but in my constituency (Wells) the only way of keeping the Tories out is to vote Lib Dem. Fortunately, Tessa (she is on first name terms with practically all her constituents) is an excellent constituency MP, and has voted against the coalition on more than one occasion.
Well I hope she beats off the Tories then if she is a good local MP. Unfortunately Fareham is a Tory stronghold, and although Mark Hoban is standing down, the new candidate is a Barrister from London who has just come through the 'political machine' and been given a safe seat. I think she has run in 5 constituencies in the last 10 years, from Leicester to Sussex. Nice to know it will be someone who knows the area well. I will be giving my vote to the Greens I think. Their candidate Miles Grindey is a local lad, who is a family friend. I am holding out for a progressive left-wing government, but won't hold my breath. Obviously I want Miliband as PM over Cameron, but no point voting Labour in Fareham at all.
I know someone who once stayed there and turned the pillow over to find a huge pool of blood on the opposite side. Genuinely.
Iteresting factoid (to me at least) about Life of Brian. One of the few councils still to have it on the banned list up to about seven or eight year ago was Aberystwyth. The mayor of Aberystwyth at the time thought it was odd to have a film still banned, given that she was in it. She was the woman who played Judith, Brian's girlfriend. I recall reading elsewhere that she succeeded. http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2008/jul/20/localgovernment Vin
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-32022625 British DJ Neil Fox has been charged with nine sex offences involving six people, of whom three were children. Scotland Yard said he faced six charges of indecent assault, of which three allegedly involved girls aged under 16 between 1991 and 1996, and two allegations of sexual assault. Basically 99% of celebs around that time are sickos.
Some good news at last in the political world. Cameron has said he will not stand for a third term as PM if elected again! Lets hope he doesn't get the chance of a second.
The odds suggest he will. I've thought the Tories would win for a couple of years since the economy was improving.
I'm sorry, but he's our best option right now. Miliband is a twat, Clegg is clueless and don't get me started on Farage. I dislike Labour with a passion and if UKIP ever get into power, I'm on a one way ticket out of Heathrow.
