I did come here with my own news item which should make a few people sit up and take notice:
None other than Airbus have applied for a patent to produce an energy source for the transportation sector [I'll have a wild guess that'll be an aircraft engine] using an exothermic reaction:

So let me get this right. Those majority of MPs have voted that people cannot come forward with historical evidence or testament that could uncover a potential *****phile or child abuser because the suspect could be covered by the Official Secrets Act [cue shut down of forum]..?

Basically it means say a person comes forward with info about a MP or some one else in the Government is a child abuser or *****. They themselves could get taken to court etc because of the OSA. So no one will now come forward as they will worry that they could get locked up as well.

Ok, yeah I read that bit too. So not only does the OSA indirectly cover the suspect, but it also potentially prosecutes the person with information, all for the purpose of national security.

I was one of the last to see it...only a couple of weeks ago. Can I just add that you shouldn't be put off by thinking it will be full of American style reporting with stupid errors...an excellent programme (mainly because it is so positive about Saints).

So the OSA is stopping people coming forward about peados etc. This vote was to make whistleblowers immune to the OSA but Con's and the Lib Dem's voted against.

Mine (Mark Hoban - Tory) voted no. I expect nothing less from the Conservatives or their puppets in government (LibDems). I hope this government gets booted out, and that a few of them lose their seats - Clegg, and Danny Alexander in particular.
