Ok then, scrap the whole idea. Just as long as Johnson gets paid **** all.

  2. Bit pedantic but if it was end of 2012 then it would have a 4.5 or 5.5 year contract. I'm sure he only resigned last season though, there was a big discussion on whether a fairly unproven 18 year old deserved £35k per week

He signed for 5 years in December 2012 taking him from £2,000 a week to £30,000ish. Not surprised he wants more and I'm not overly concerned about the delay either.

I'm also not surprised he wants more jb but £115k a week more based on hype rather than what he actually brings to the team on a regular basis?
If I was the club negotiator I'd tell his greedy agent bastard that Ibe when fit is taking Sterling's place and sell the greedy **** for the best price we can get.

I absolutely hate players holding the club to ransom, and let's be honest he's not a regular game changing midfielder, since he got his last payrise he's tried less and his progression ended.

I don't believe what the papers are trying to say about the amount he's supposedly asking for. On the one hand it's his agents job to get the most he can for him - for obvious reasons - on the other hand he will see what others are on and think he deserves a pay rise too. I think £30,000 a week's obscene, given what us peasants have to survive on, so when you see what the likes of Rooney and Falcao are on, it's beyond my comprehension <laugh>

I know things are different in the sports and entertainment world but how do you put some sort of perspective on it I really don't know.
