At the home games i would agree but at away games recently the 19:04 CTWD chant has been sung as much as always and with possibly even more gusto.
Protest type songs aside I would suggest getting on Diego Costa's case, the guy has a short fuse and should be booed and hissed every time he has the ball, like the pantomime villan. I think it was at Sunderland when they did that Murinio had to take him off before he got a red card he was so wound up.
I get back each year for christmas and the new year, i posted before that even when back i don't go to home games, i am old school and couldn't do with the modern day allocated seat, heavy handed stewards, photo journalists scaning the crowd hoping to catch someone making an obsene gesture, and all the rest. Every one on here says the away games are better so i asked about a ticket for the Boxing day game at Sunderland, season ticket holders first then those with a record of buying tickets and then ah there are none for the likes of you. For me the good old days have gone, it was if you want to sit go over there if you want to stand go there. If you have had enough of standing and singing move to the front or side and have a sit down. For me thats how it was and during the time i have been away ( 20 years ) the whole game has changed, it would be very hard to turn up now and enjoy the occasion. If you have been going all the time and the changes happen bit by bit i suppose it's less of an issue, new supporters only know what they have today. So as i said in my very first post on here i follow Hull City and leave the supporting to others and dof my cap to them for putting up with all they have to.
The last time we beat Chelsea was in the old division 2. I don't suppose many on here were around then, but I was and at the game. Mid week. Boothferry Park, crowd about 8,000 with a couple of hundred Chelsea. The noisy City were in the Kempton and we jeered and heckled Chelsea from the kick off. Especially Graham Roberts? Centre half, meat head, Chelsea's main man and so on. And how we got to him! Keith Edwards ran him ragged with the crowd cheering him on, Roberts was rattled and the more we jeered him the more he reacted. Eventually Edwards put City in front and I'm sure Roberts then lunged in at Edwards and we got a penalty from which we scored, 2-0 City. From memory Roberts was either sent of or substituted but as he left the field the Kempton gave him a rousing farewell to which he turned and gave us the two fingers. Great memories from a time when all our crowd was 100% behind the team, a real backs-to-the-wall night, and one which we, the fans, influenced the result.
Yes 3-0 & our only win v Chelsea @ BP. Guys, can we be bigger than our owner? Can we do the CTWD song with Ghusto at 19:04, followed by a rousing TIGERS, TIGERS, TIGERs as soon as the CTWD song dies out? Show him that we are impartial, but Hull CITY is our name just as the TIGERS is.
The happy clappers are impartial. The supporters chanting "City 'til I Die" at 19:04 are in no way impartial. Those PL supporters booing are probably impartial to the name change as they had no allegiance to the club or the club's name prior to 2008.
That's the big problem. Allam has dug his heels in & so have the CTWD supporters. The losers are the team.
Why? Sometimes the chant at 19:04 is the chanting highlight of the match, how can that affect the players in a negative way? The losers are the supporters of the club who support the team. Our owner has disengaged lifelong supporters of the club, pushed others to the point where they have become that isolated from the club they've severed all ties, shown disrespect to supporters, lied, threatened, gone back on his word & all because he didn't get his hands on a publicly owned asset which he wanted to use as collateral to raise money for a private money making venture. Allam doesn't give to ****s about you, me or any other supporter, of any other club, more-so his own . He's a **** & should be told & shown this at every opportunity.
Everyone who is at that game tomorrow backing City is a supporter, some just go and look forward to the game without any hassle others cheer the lads on without singing and then others like me sing shout and get behind the team in anyway I can. Its frustrating for me when others don't join in because make no doubt about it, it can make the difference so tomorrow if you fancy singing but others around you aren't don't worry about it let yourself go because the more that do the more will join in. Five very hard home games to go I can promise you it could not have been a much tougher run in and everyone in the four stands of that kc could just make the difference between staying up or going down. Sing what ever songs you want because a better atmosphere can only help the team
I fear you may be right. There will be a lot of premier hangers on who are there just to see one of the top teams. They wont be cheering for City.
http://www.hullcityindependent.net/?page=forum&forum_id=8&thread_id=20898 or the fact that I know also of a group in the pub who are lets just say " going to make their voice heard tomorrow " in the east stand ....the fact is , its all messed up , but ffs can we put on a good show at least in front of the cameras and give the ****ing players our support ?
Yeah cos people like you will be proudly booing the word City. I'm trying to figure out how to fit '**** off and start Hull Tigers from the bottom of the pyramid if you want to support that club you daft tossers' into a song.
