All, I followed you here from 606 and log on daily but never post. Well here goes. I went to my first game in 74. I have some great memories of promotion and the like and some awful ones too. Most of all despite my absolute passion I have spent almost 40 years ( I can't be that old!) watching mediocrity at best. The only real exception being the Quinn/Phillips Era.
As I log on daily and read about signing after signing including names like John O' Shea I really have to pinch myself.
I might have other priorities in life now like 3 kids, 2 dogs and a totally uniterested Mag supporting wife, but the inner excitement never wains.
Might this be the most exciting time for my club in my lifetime ( 1973 excepted). I really think so.
I still think there is more business to be done but to be honest I am a very happy man now.
Bring on the new season.
Those of you that are a lot younger may never really understand what it has truly been like to be a Sunderland supporter.
