I cant wait to hear his logic on this one. I just hope he's clear in the interview when referring to Hull City that's the club, not the council. Or vice versa. Or whatever. Can you tell us a secret Mr Allam? http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/VIDE...s-conference/story-22912236-detail/story.html
He really is utterly clueless, I don't think he's got the slightest idea what he's doing, either that or he's deliberately trying to make himself public enemy No.1.
It is almost like he's trying now and maybe we're not giving him enough credit, cos you have to say if it is intentional then he's brilliant at it.
David Burns @bbcburnsy Hull City's Assem Allam tells @BBCPaulMurphy "I'm prepared to give the SMC to the council for £1". More on @looknorthBBC @RadioHumberside
David Burns@bbcburnsy 1h1 hour ago Assem Allam tells @BBCPaulMurphy if Hull Council @Hullccnews pay for a £1.5 million bubble pitch , he won't evict clubs from Airco. Only just seen this. Remember, this is Assem 'I'm a fan of the community' Allam.
Hull CC News @Hullccnews We've successfully evicted two tenants from their properties due to continued unacceptable behaviour. Assem and Ehab? (nicked from @Mr_Hitchie on Twitter)
Paul Murphy @BBCPaulMurphy More #Allam: told me Ed Miliband had offered to come to Hull to mediate in his row with Hull City Council. Dr Allam declined the offer.
Just out of interest, when is this Academy audit ? I've heard various dates in April but even if it was to be the end of April is this enough time to get the new pitch laid ? Tenants still have another 3 weeks left so work can't start until second week in April. Anyone know ?
Adrian Gosling @digitalsunshine Hey Allam, stop pissing people off, or we won't have enough room in our tweets for all the hashtags #hcafc #AircoForAll #NoToHullTigers #Cun
Its like a carpet, you just roll it out. I wonder what the Premier League think about the way he's behaving. Evicting other sports and demanding £1.5 million from the Council to stop it, allegedly. They have to approve the facility before we get Category 2 status.
If the Council accept his offer then the club won't meet the requirements of the audit which is the, er, main point of the eviction exercise. Have the Council the power to delay the project by a legal challenge ?
Not sure because I haven't seen the terms of the lease. I'm not sure whether the Council would have the balls to do it either. I'm still thinking about this. There will be a lease agreement between Hull City Tigers Limited and the SMC for the use of the Arena because they need it for the audit. If the Council take over the SMC they will be bound by the agreement unless they challenge it in court. Assem Allam is trying to stitch up the council. Hopefully they won't fall for it. The sad thing is he could have had all this months ago if he'd just sat down and talked to Steve Brady and ignored Geraghty.
Another question (s) : When were the club informed that they needed an indoor pitch and why have they left it a month or so before the audit to put plans in place. Has someone royally ****ed up ? If it's a genuine timing issue why can't they ask the auditors to re-schedule and give the club 6 months to find another suitable venue. The words piss-up, brewery, couldn't arrange one spring to mind.
I think he's lost the plot, If the council take over the SMC he won't be able to evict anyone. Why on earth does he think the council would pay for an indoor pitch. How can i get to see the books of the SMC? I might put in a bid.
I'll keep saying it. He's goading the council and loving it. To think Geraghty could be ignored in any decision is ****ing laughable.
Can someone tell me why the club want to take over the Airco anyway. They have supposed to of got excellent facilities at Bishop Burton.
