YIPPEE!!!! Now we can start to build. I was starting to worry for a moment but this young man (29 is a good age for a keeper and makes me fell really old) sounds mighty fine. Excellant news this as the goalkeeper situation was the only real area (granted with plenty of time to go) that was starting to bug me.
I also like the use of the word OFFICIAL. Anyone with actual concrete news should do that, saves a lot of unneccessary heart fluctuations!
Which one have we signed then? Comparing the two pictures on BBC and Wiki, I'd swear they are two different players! Probably need a visit to my opticians. Stats list his height at 6ft 1" the same as DDV. I know height isn't an indication of a keeper's ability but I'm still a bit disappointed with this. Obviously the taller a keeper is, the more likely he is to get to high crosses and the Premiership wide men are going to be firing plenty of those into our box next season. Hope he's better than DDV at taking them. Yes, I know all about Yves etc but there's something about a tall keeper - providing he's decent to start with.

Looks like a great shot stopper! Not so much at handling though, hopefully hes better than DDV was at dealing with crosses/corners.
Could turn out to be a great capture. I panicked for a minute at the headline though, thinking we'd gone back in time and re-signed the mighty full back Joao Moreira. Whatever happened to him?

It`s nice that a deal like this can be done on the QT, without all the rumours flying about. Was starting to get a bit worried about the GK position, now to see if he passes the medical. Sounds like a decent signing and hope his knees are ok.
