DM wise I'd take Grant Xhaka. Seems solid and can play a bit too. Not sure we'll go for a classic defensive midfielder though - think Rodgers would prefer box-to-box players like Hendo. Just need ones disciplined enough to attack and defend at the right times. It's a centre-back that's really key... we ideally want someone comfortable on the ball and right footed. Ideal pick is Howedes I suppose.

I'm going to propose some thing controversial. Keep the defense as it is, partner Henderson with Allen, bring in another decent keeper and an alternative to Henderson for depth and competition and whack the big money on a solid, pacey striker. After that focus on clearing the excess and replace any significant exits (not that I can see any happening).
