Liverpool will attempt to sign Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Vazquez, 23 - currently on loan at Espanyol - in the summer. (Daily Express) Brendan Rodgers has ruled out leaving Liverpool for another Premier league club, amid rumours he is on Manchester City's shortlist of potential replacements for Manuel Pellegrini. (Guardian)
Did this get said on one of the other threads..... I personally think if rodgers is thinking the same as me he must be sacked immediately. I would have said the exact same signings
I was suggesting the former but I suppose you could apply it to both since RHC's mate gets his info direct from Brod himself
Tbf, in October we all knew we needed a striker, a midfielder and a goalkeeper...only thing that's changed is that Migs has turned up some decent form, but still leaves only Jones as backup. I don't see that anything has changed regarding our three big priorities.
No but... I would say that the urgency for a cl may have increased in rodgers mind as gerrard is going and type might have changed and all as 3-4-3 is not looking for a lucas replacement par se is it not like 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-2-1-2 I think 3 players at 20 mil a shot is where I'd be aiming not 5 10 mil players
Manchester United are ready to sell record signing Angel Di Maria, 27, in the summer as they believe they can persuade Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, 25, to join the club. (Sunday Express)
#Rivalwatch "Rumour and speculation at the moment Walcott plus 25 million for Di Maria. Would you be happy with this. Would make sense of recent rumours circulating regarding these two players. My thoughts. Would sooner have another player than Di Maria." Gooner on JA
Joke. Anyone paying more than £30m for Di Maria (plus reduction in wages from current level) is a moron. He's done nothing to justify it and is regularly subbed for a 19 year old (who is ****e).
Presumably had a good reason to sign Aspas, Balotelli, and Lambert too. I do reserve judgement on Ings though. May or may not be good enough.
