Because of international break the replay is going to be at Ewood park on April 8th. We are playing Arsenal on April 4th and Newcastle on April 13th. Newcastle game is Monday night football
http://www1.skysports.com/football/...an-rodgers-unimpressed-by-fa-cup-replay-dates “I believe the (Liverpool v Blackburn) replay is early April, the 7th or 8th,” said Rodgers. “It is certainly not what it is for Reading and Bradford. That is unbelievable. “I feel for them, having to play Saturday and again on Monday. It is incredible. It’s unfair for both clubs with so much at stake. I feel sorry for Parky and for Steve and for the players.” “The fixtures are tough and it certainly doesn’t help. But we just deal with it and we now have to go to Blackburn and win but we are more than capable of doing that.” Rodgers was also once again critical of the state of the Anfield pitch which he says hinders the way his side plays. “I’ll say it again the pitch makes it tough,” Rodgers said. “You can see yourself it certainly does not help us. When it comes to playing games you certainly want it to be an advantage. If there’s any team it doesn’t help it’s us.” Blackburn manager Bowyer: “Our players were pleasantly delighted to see so much grass on the pitch at Anfield,” he said. “Brendan was complaining about the pitch here. Wait until he sees Ewood. It makes this look like Wembley.”
Brendan Rodgers will take Liverpool FA Cup replay being delayed for a month after goalless draw with Blackburn http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...rs-Liverpool-FA-Cup-replay-delayed-month.html
Just glad to still be in it and glad that it's after the Arsenal game and not before it. #prioritisation
We also discussed it last night on the match thread The FA say 7th/8th April. 8th would be better for the timing. http://www.thefa.com/news/the-fa-cup/2015/mar/liverpool-blackburn-rover-sixth-round-reaction
I'm sure it's worse. But we're a top PL club and one of the richest in the world. Why pay big money for ball-players and then even things up by playing in a park?
In the first world war the British forces would dig 275 yards of trench in 6 hours. Blackburn have a month.
BR has made several references to it too, some quite some time ago. I thought it was getting relaid but maybe you can only do that at certain times.
My Arsenal friend called my team 'rubbish team" this morning. In as much I do not like Man Utd. I want them to beat Arsenal tonight.
So it'll be relaid at the end of the season then. Ah well, what is it...5 more home matches.....before digging it up then. Just strange that it ever got like that in the first.
Yet another (unseen) area that we have suffered with regard to under investment. Now at least it's more a case of the order in which we do things. I'm surprised the mail didn't blame it on Ed Balls
