Palace's front three are like whippets, Zaha, Bolasie and Puncheon will murder us with pace, we could have a long hard afternoon if we play such a high line away...
The after match analysis on the TV clearly showed that Mason dived, Yun was nowhere near him. That would have put the icing on the cake if he had given it. Good luck for the rest of the season. Do you think you can grab fourth?
Our defence will get us relegated we leak goals nearly every game and how many fine saves has green pulled off says it all, we can score with Charlie only if we could defend we would be safe.
Totally agree. really lacking a bit of creativity today. Taraabt would be huge for us right now, the sort of player who might just give us that something extra…but…not bloody fit. I can understand Redknapps frustration from that point of view. As far as Spurs being two classes above us - yes they knocked the ball about well and counter attacked with a lot of pace but they created very little all day and from that point of view today's game was very even. Trouble is we're suspect at the back and not clever enough in attack - everyone's giving 100%, which is great, but realistically it's not quite enough.
Being completely honest, I don't think any of them were penalties. But the refs decisions out the field were woeful all game. Where the hell is Tubby when we need him? The last 20 minutes were crying out for him today
the one in the 2nd half when the guy had his hands above his head when the ball hit them looked nailed on from where i was sitting. agree about Adel - get fit you fuc*king dopey twat!!!
My first instinct was no pen, Baz. Looking at the replay, the ball was smashed at him from close range and yes his hands were up but they were tucked in. Normally a pen's only given when hands are flailing about at the sides. I can see why the cry would go up but I think it would've been slightly harsh.
Unusually was able to watch the whole game on a stream for once and have to say that it was a very disappointing result. They do try a lot harder it seems for Ramsey than they did for Redknapp but are having absolutely no luck and the defending in the centre is absolutely diabolical. I so look forward to Rio's retirement party and Caulker's departure to one of this season's promoted sides for £8m. How he keeps on persuading people who supposedly know a thing or two about defending to fork out huge sums of money for his services is quite beyond me. And the huge irony of it all was that we finally signed him after what seemed like months of persuasion, so the story goes , so that he could play with Rio and learn from the master!!! Give me strength. You really could not make it up. I agree we are too one dimensional but it's hard to see how or why Ramsey should be blamed for that. It's all we've got thanks to injuries and the building of an imbalanced squad in the first place by our saviour. His hands were then tied by Tony saying that he would pay for new recruits. I hope Tony is fair when it comes to his end of season assessment. Of the remaining games there are clearly some where we have no chance at all. There are plenty however where we would have a good chance of winning provided we cut out the defensive howlers, get a lucky break and get behind the team. The commentary on First Row, Clive Allen I believe, kept remarking how unusually quiet our fans were until the last few minutes. Come on guys. We still have to play Palace, West Brom, Villa and Leicester away and Everton, West Ham and Newcastle at home. Do not tell me that we are doomed. Not yet anyway.
Green was at fault for the first goal and defence was woeful for the second. We were unlucky. Hit the bar and post and two penalties not given. Now it's do or die. Above all - Villa away is really a six pointer. Come on you Rrssssss!!!!!!
Yes '74, I'm wumming Would you bloke who "liked" the post think I'm wumming an' all? He's the worst defender I've seen at QPR since Zesh Rehman. Everyone knew he would be a disastrous signing except Harry Redknapp.
We know the ball hit his hand '74 so those pictures tell us nothing extra. I thought at the time that the ball was belted at him from close range. I'll look at it again tonight. You could be right. I'm just thinking that if another team was given a penalty when a ball was blasted at one of our defenders like that, I'd probably think it harsh.
Just got in. Whole day a nightmare. Chiswick bridge shut, detour through Kew ended up running to ground with youngest. Seat in Ellerslie was crap. Had that TV gantry blocking the corner. Isla is crap. Phillips is as crap as ever. I must have missed the resurrection reported on this forum. Yun is too weak for the Premier. Townsend tormented him all first half and CR obviously told him to chase him all over the pitch in the second half. Yun is just not physical enough. Hoilett is embarrassing. Good points for me 1. The players worked their socks off; especially the midfield. Thought Sandro and Henry were good. 2. Bobby and Charlie both got their shots on target 3. Ned was excellent Then got caught in traffic for 40 mins in gunners bury lane because a driver broke down next to the lights and could not be bothered to push his car onto a hard standing area 10 yards away. No he got a warning triangle out instead. Really fed up now I
