Balance? We've played the teams in 3rd 4th and 6th places and lost each by a goal having competed well and created chances. Other than that we've done something Redknapp failed to achieve all season, win or even get a point away from home and lose in the last minute against Hull. because of those ****tards (nice term of abuse by the way, I'm adopting it) Caulker and Ferdinand. I dare say if we weren't down to the bare bones, Ferdinand would not be anywhere the starting line up. Caulker's time will surely be up soon as I think one of CR's 'yoof' squad could defend better than he does.

Him wot is no longer kept saying he would judge HR after 12 games and then over a season. You were a bit more realistic. But even CR's most vocal critics must at least give the guy a reasonable chance before beginning to circle him as a pack. We have improved immensely. However that does not mean we have been transformed overnight into a team that will beat Arsenal, Spurs and Southampton. Be fair.

Unlike Redknapp, who has ****ed us completely, Ramsey deserves a decent chance.

I just fail to see how we have "improved immensely". The players look a bit more up for it, but we are still playing old fashioned hoof ball in an outdated formation that doesn't suit the players we have. Just like under Redknapp.

Hopefully Ramsey will set us up differently for our away games.

".................Hopefully Ramsey will set us up differently for our away game"

He has so far. We venture into the opposition half with a bit more intention than simply trying to keep the ball away from the opposition. It seemed like virgin territory when Redknapp was in charge. You're not wrong about the hoofball. It's no surprise that we do it as all creativity was sucked out of the team under him and injuries have put paid to what's left. Charlie thrives on having Zamora alongside him to take the pressure off and create space. We simply don't have anyone else who can play alongside him unless Vargas is going to grow up and bury the hatchet with Zarate. He's here now. He doesn't have to shag him or even talk to him between games. Frankly if the stories are true, we can get shot of both of them and bring in someone who is prepared to give it a go. Since when have players had the right to say who they are prepared to play alongside? Would have loved to see what Fer was made of but it goes without saying that our first win away from home would come at a heavy price. How many ACL and MDL injuries can one team endure?

I know that the football can be crap at times but it worked at home earlier in the season. Given the time frame how do you suggest Ramsey should set them up?. Arsenal can do it because they have played that way for years. Spurs are getting there. You are being unrealistic if you thought that our players could do so. They can't. We're a team of grafters and ball winners We can only play to our strengths.

I keep on being mis-quoted. I have never said that we could have tried to out play Arsenal or Spurs or even to play the same way.

I'm simply saying that 4-4-2 with 2 holding midfield players and at least one wide player who isn't prepared to work back when we don't have the ball didn't work. That set up leaves far too much space for the opposition to play their football. I appreciate that it's a gamble, but it didn't work and I'd have liked to see us set up differently.
Just about everyone who posted on the "your team for Spurs" thread put a 4-2-3-1 formation, so I'm not the only one.

I liked it when you said that Adel was a dedicated servant of the club who has been treated disgracefully, you would happily have Rio Ferdinands love child and playing good football was more important than results.
