As we were slowly creeping up the table befor Christmas not many of us were expecting to be in a relegation battle come the start of March, but here we are. So, how many points do we think are needed to live to fight another season in the Championship?

I've had a quick look back and there's no real magic number in this league. Last season 45 would have done it, but the season before it was 55. In 2011-12 a mere 41 would have sufficed. Based on current points totals, an average of a point a game should do it, but if Millwall suddenly find some form that could change. To be on the safe side we should be looking to reach 50 as soon as possible: so a minimum of 3 wins and a couple of draws from the remaining 12 games should do it.
 
Somewhat concerned about the teams below us getting results
to nights Wigan game being a prime example.
As one manager said, " Fulham have some great individuals cant see why they are in this position",
the fans can ~ no team tactics implemented, which must be the managers responsibility.

That surprise (?) result for Wigan away to Norwich tonight jumps them above Millwall. Makes our home game against them on Friday 10th April a little bit more significant.
 
We’ve dropped a place in the League thanks to Rotherham beating Huddersfield 2-0 away. However, luck is on our side with the other significant results …

Wigan 0 Leeds 1
Millwall 1 Norwich 4
Blackpool 0 Sheffield Wednesday 1

….. to retain an 8pt cushion.


Arguably 7pts from the last 10 games will be enough to keep us up.
 
Depending on results before the 2 home games against Wigan & Rotherham plus the one away at Blackpool in April might be the ones we have to win, and we know what our results to lower teams have been like.

And if we can't get 7 points from 10 games, we don't deserve to stay up, particularly now that we've got that difficult run of games against the leading sides out of the way.

If we loose 2 more games through bad tactical play we must replace Kit.
next season we want to build from a championship base and not from div 1

Thought they might have brought in Dennis Wise to give some sort of fillip to the side. There again, I suppose Neil Harris is their equivalent to our Kit.

Still think Wigan of the current bottom three pose the greatest threat.

Rotherham win (1-0 over Brighton) puts Blackpool down but leaves us scrapping with Wigan and Millwall.
 
I think three points will be enough but 4 to make sure, to be honest if we can't get four points from Wigan home, Rotherham home and Blackpool away we deserve to go home.

Three more points would put us 10 above Millwall whose last six games include Watford and Derby pulse they have to go away to Wolves and Blackburn

Three more Points would put us 11 points above Wigan who only have five games left including Wolves and Brentford

We could beat Wigan at home and Kill two birds with one stone, get the three points we need and knock Wigan out of the equation but this is Fulham so it will go down to the last day of the season!

Well, Wigan have sacked Malky Mackay. Makes all the cafuffle a few months ago a nonsense. But will it help us?
 
Watched tonights football league show where Curbishly was a guest analyst, who commented after the Wigan
match was how incredible it seemed that they "Wigan"had
dropped down the tables from being a prem club with fears of next season being in div 1.
HOLD ON are we not in a similar position and him being a director of coaching or some such thing..
And remember Wigan will have a new manager which normally gives any team a momentary boost
and 2 of their run in matches are us and Millwall ???

Fulham - L6 - W2 - D2
Milwall - L6 - W1 - D3
Wigan - L6 - W3 - D1
Rotherham - L7 - W3

Draw your own conclusions from the above but if Fulham don't start putting some performances in then it will be very tight, irrelevant of the 'so called' easy games ahead. The opposition will be playing for their survival in the league too.
 
If Millwall pick up ten points from their remaining games they'll have done well. Not losing to Wigan is crucial - a draw or better on Friday and a win against either Rotherham or Blackpool and we should be ok. Not sure I'll be buying the review of the season DVD, though.
