Surely has to start Tuesday? Personally I would have him in the team every week if not injured, I think we miss his creativity.

With Brady out I think its pretty much a sure thing that he will start on Tuesday. We have to win so I am sure it will be an attacking 11 that takes the pitch.

IMO Robertson is a dangerous left midfielder with a great cross and a good engine, but at left back he's still a bit lightweight and I think Bruce and Phelan are cautious about using him in the wing back role.
For me we should play him at left midfield with Figgy behind him.

don't be daft, Bruce doesn't do creativity - Ben Arfa, booted out, Ince, out on loan, Quinn on bench, Robertson on bench - on the other hand Junior, Meyler and Livermore keep their places despite creating **** all - we are going to be in a real mess come the summer -Quinn, Macca, Davies, Robertson, Ince, Maguire will want out because of the way they have been treated - Meyler, Junior, Livermore, Sagbo, Aluko, Figgy Harper, aren't good enough and Ramirez isn't good enough and on loan anyway- leaving McGregor, probably needs replacing - Chester, Dawson Diame Elmo Brady Hudd, N'Doye, Hernandez, Snodgrass and Jelly - pissing off players and picking deadwood is a recipe for disaster - if we stay up Allam is going to have to dig very deep again

Yes I love his energy for getting up and down the wing although he does get caught out the odd time defensively. Still learning that side of the game but we are much more of attacking side down the left when he plays. I do think there is a very good chance he will play, lets hope Elmo is ok has well

Agreed re. Elmo. With Brady out and Figgy limping off (possibly suspended if Stoke get there wish) then Robbo will have to start.

Conor Townsend has been loaned out to Scunthorpe. He was our only other left back option.

Thankfully Rosie should be back for the Lesta game.

I really don't think Robertson is what we need right now especially at left back, unfortnately I don't think we have a choice

18000 posts and 64 likes and I'm supposed to be the daft one

To be fair to Tickles (and I try not to make a habit of it), the 'likes' totals only date back to the start of the new-look site (a couple of months?), while a user's post total is a real total dating right back to the site's birth. So the two numbers can't be compared - it would be like saying Jelavic is rubbish because he's scored only 12 of HCAFC's 7,000 or so league goals.

nah - checked - likes go back to at least two years - check your own on your profile

Strangely, it's remembered a few from before 27 Dec 2014, but very few indeed. I'm listed as having 177, for instance, but 163 have come since then and 14 spread out over the three years prior to that, even though the vast majority of my posts were pre-27 Dec. It doesn't tally at all with the real 'likes' history at all.

The mods or supermods might be able to explain why a very small selection of pre-27 Dec likes have survived while the vast majority have not - it's odd.

But my point stands - Tickles will (I know, it's hard to fathom) have had several hundred likes wiped from the system when the new look was launched,

Robertson can put in some good crosses but can also be a liability, so I think he's overrated here.

Robertson's defensive frailties have been blown way out of proportion based on the odd minor mistake. He's never been a winger but he's been an excellent wing back for us in the PL and full back in some big international games, and been one of Scotland's best players as well as one of ours.

But he's only 21, got to be careful with him etc etc.

Should we wrap him in cotton wool till he's past it. How long before that young Norweigen kid gets a start for Real Madrid, Man U seem to throw young players into the 1st team as do Southampton. It's like your children you can't hold their hand forever when learning to walk.
