Reading between the lines, they're going to allow the appeal, so the owners, sensitive to a sensitive minority have decided they'd rather have the whining and crying about it after the seasons ended so there are no distractions.

You lot should be grateful and have a break from the angst. Just spend the rest of the season supporting the club.

He does love you after all.

Wonder if this is linked to the KC.

Interesting times.

I used to just think you were a ****! Now I see you have a sense of humour. <laugh>

IMO it's a no, as the FA's process was by the book. I think they've asked for FA to delay the announcement because it will be likely leaked, and Allam will kick up a fuss about the FA's process and inability to keep it secret, possibly to re-enter arbitration.

If the decision had gone his way he would be telling everyone, and getting the FA to look again at the application in April ready for next season. If he really thinks it would make money he wouldn't delay it for another season. If he thought the fallout could affect the team, why didn't he keep his gob shut in the past?

What gets 'leaked'and when is food for thought. These things are not done accidentally.

It's an age old ploy to leak 'terrible' news so that the 'bad' news later announced seems good.

Employers leak big pay cuts to certain people, who then can claim they'd negotiated a better deal when the lesser ones the employer wanted in the first place are announced.

They know how to keep it fuelled with snippets, but rarely let the big decisions leak until they're ready.

The thing about this forum is the abundance of speculation and conspiracy theories. The fact remains that we know nothing for certain. We have twelve matches to save our Premier League status so let's just concentrate on that till we know definite answers.
(I may be a 'Premier League whore' so save the insults).

The only thing that would cause a distraction now, if the FA release the result now, is Allam himself having another public episode.

Any decision would need ratifying at the FA Council meeting in April so it has to be announced before then.

Allam knows it is a no, he just can't make good on his oft made threat to walk out instantly now. He wants the lie to not be exposed now.

If its the FA acted fairly they have no decision to make this April. They made it last season.

Until the decision is announced there will be no end of speculation. Uncertainty never helped anyone. He's already told the world that he's off if it goes against him so he should just announce what the arbitration decision is and get on with whatever he intends to do.

The FA should announce their findings or come up with a bloody good reason not to.

This is why I detest them and their opacity.

I hope so too, but remember it is Allam who is asking for the delay.

Hopefully they will go ahead and announce it anyway. Why should they wait?

It's really time for this slow death to be put out of it's misery, dragging it out for another three months really helps no-one.

I suspect they already know what the outcome will be and are simply buying themselves some time.
I also think they know the outcome too but I think it's in the Allams favour because if it went against them it wouldn't make any difference to match day support, but because it's in favour they know a small minority will try to cause disRipton.

Nothing needs to be ratified, as Obi says, the decision is made, this will be nothing more than a confirmation that the decision stands.

I doubt they're going to be able to keep the decision quiet for another three months.

If the appeal has been unsuccessful then what difference would that make to your relegation battle?

The converse I can understand.
