I have to say the Burnley manager is taking a leaf out of Wenger's book with regard to this one http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31590728
Both managers in that game claiming they are hard done by! If they had had half the ****e decisions we have had against us then they would be going mental..
What pisses me off is that, (a), there's enough officials around the pitch to support the referee, and probably see what the referee might miss, and (b) they've already got the technology available on-site, covering every inch of the game, why can't they get these bloody decisions right and stop these managers from ****ing whinging all week until the next weeks game?
Just imagine a game governed by second opinion or video technology! More stop-start, call backs, reviews than action. Not more for me as I can live with bad refereeing along with missed penalties, chances and goalie howlers. They are the spice of life in football and only the personnel have changed not the game.
I'd rather have video tech used properly after the game than during. No stop start just let the FA tell the ref he got it wrong. If the referee says he has seen the challenge and done nothing then he should be punished. It's too stupid a rule that they don't want to "re-referee" decisions. If they NEED to then they should instead of burying their heads in the sand
I have to say, I'd have Sean Dyche signed up in a heartbeat if Gus left! He's making the most of a championship squad in the Prem. Just think what he could do with a squad just a little better.
Martinez? I like Dyche but I am not sure about him on the management front. Martinez imo is being found out now. He's not a great manager. He's no better than Poyet's imo. He just doesn't talk as much ****e! He has far better players than we do but is only 3 points better off! Dyche might be decent but he might also be another McCarthy
Refs have ****ed us over so many times this season, to a point where I'm not shocked when decisions go against us, at least one howler every two games it seems
Not sure how Martinez snuck in there Marcus. Wouldn't want him tbh. But Dyche is getting the best of a very ordinary squad, and may well keep them up. And we aren't the sort of club that's gonna get the big name in. We tried 1 who was past it and without his number 2 (MoN), and 1 (RK) with no real experience in management. How did that work out for us? Dyche is the sort of young, up-and-coming manager I'd like to see take over the club! RIGHT NOW!!!!
I only mention Martinez as Dyche is, IMO doing a similar job as martinez did at Wigan. I just don't know what to expect. Burnley are probably the worst team I've seen at our place this season, and that includes us!!
I only mentioned Dyche because of earlier discussions on other threads about Gus leaving and who would take over, and my point being, we need to be realistic about who we can realistically get. We won't be signing a big name european manager, and there are no big names sitting around over here waiting by the phone. So let's go for a young hungry ambitious manager. First name at the top of my list is Dyche.
If Shelley Kerr is the slightest bit fazed by her new appointment, as the first woman to manage a senior men’s team in Britain, she does not let on. On Saturday afternoon the former Arsenal Ladies manager will oversee Stirling University at home to Dalbeattie Star in the Lowland League, the fifth tier of Scottish football under the new pyramid system.
Okay.... If this was your 'team manager' would you get sick if she kept 'pulling you off' before the end??
