frined seems so cowardly to make any call he will bottle anything.
If you are playing a game he refs you can do pretty much anything you like i nthe first half cos he is too afraid of giving reds to dish out yellows or give a pen or whatever but woe betide anyone in the second half cos he starts waving them like nobody's business to get his stats.
I think he's a coward....
But then... howard webb was the same he was very home town and you'd need to be shot to get a pen... any flop outside the box = free but inside.... nah needed decapitation... plus he only gave pens before the hour mark... any later and it jsut didn't happen.

its funny how in that same game yesterday lovern got a card for winning the ball in midfield area but when stelring got chopped down and then the ball got accidentally kicked the southampton guy got away scott free.
Swings and roundabouts imo.... just a plain bad ref but only getting discussed cos people are mad we won.... again....
Only being discussed because the saints were robbed blind and Liverpool won by blatant gamesmanship yet again, not because penaltypool won.

If he had gotten the ball and not missed it by about 5 yards then maybe it could have possibly been categorized as a " tackle " but as we both know this was not the case. I suppose having been starved of success this long it is understandable that the penaltypool fans would celebrate such a win despite how tainted it is
