You can pretty much throw in QPR away as well, making it four straight games. One injury time goal is our sum total since we beat Newcastle on 17th Jan.
Twitter is a cess pit of mad people with not much genuine interest in football. Most people on here genuinely like their football I find.
What is certain is that the powers that be will do everything to get Pool and United back in CL at the expense of others
Gutted is an understatement for me. We played well until the final ball and shot. Getting really fed up with ref's now. Today's one was dreadful, absolutely dreadful. Rodgers comments... I will keep my mouth shut on that one. Don't want to say anything out of line. Booed both lallana and lovren, glad to see lallanas face drop as soon as he heard the boos as he came off.
I'm cold wet and not very impressed. We were poor again. Decisions went against us? Not sure about first shout (dive) but second looked like a pen. Pretty sure Lovren handled in the box also. The Northam were very unimaginative and I couldn't get my Lallana has a **** beard song going. Also locked out of my flat when I got back home (Hove) after a scary drive. Bollocks basically.
Just go home. I feel flat. I feel for the team. 28 seconds into Man City v Newcastle live on telly, a slight touch gets city a penalty. Ours was no softer than that, but I can't help but think Friend **** himself thinking about having to give a red too. I can't be angry with the team; they tried really hard. I've said for a few weeks now that Pelle doesn't hold the ball up and hasn't done for a long, long time. I've even read people saying he does recently; he doesn't. Not going to batter him though as he does what he can. Overall, we looked very comfortable until we had to create in and around the box. Time to play a fast nippy front three and rather than knock it high and straight if we are clearing out lines, hit in behind the full backs for the road runners to get on to. We look so solid which is massive credit to Ron, considering Maya looked awful 12 months ago and I feel sorry for young Matty Target; unfortunate error I'm proud we are 5th in the league having not scored at home for three games and dropping 8 points, but I'll struggle to sleep tonight thinking about the ifs and buts. I can take all that, but what I can't stomach anymore is the utter inconsistency and abysmal standard of referring. Something has to happen. This wonderful game is going to get ruined.
Sitting in a service station drinking **** coffee with three gloating scousers. Going home to face my Reds supporting family. You think you've got problems. I can't remember feeling worse about any result ever, and that's quite a claim.
The trouble is, we all moan and utterly hate it when players dive over, exaggerating a fall and rolling around. Sadly, Kevin Friend(less) today showed why more and more players feel it's necessary to do so. He was also the 4th official yesterday in the Chelsea game...
Perhaps you could reassure me? I do not claim to have seen much Feyenoord football but I did see a large chunk of a match a few weeks ago and Kongolo was awful. Kept giving the ball away and caused a few howlers in defence which nearly led to goals. If he is on our radar I am worried. Please tell me he was just having an off day or that he's not one of the two you mean.
Hurrah for a voice of reason. As ever, FLT, you make me wonder why I've gone back to posting. You sum things up so well. I thought the ref was crap until I had a chance to see the replays on my tablet. Then I thought he was simply awful. Even my scouse mates said: penalty shouts 2&3 were stonewall Mignolet should have gone Jose thinks there's a conspiracy against Chelsea? Try being a Saints fan!
Thought the ref was ****e today. We missed Reed's energy and I'd start him in the next game. It's time to drop Pelle and make a few changes. I'd revert to a back three. I thought Targett was very poor today, I'm glad Bertrand is back for the next one.
Just got home. That has to be the worst performance from a ref I've seen in a long, long time. Two penalties, and Mignolet should have been sent off for handling outside the area. He was ****ing miles outside. We played them off the park tbh. They were embarrassing. I can't be too downhearted after a performance like that, where the referee just literally handed them the game on a plate.
