No Sunderland AFC move for Wigan Athletic winger Charles N’

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has dismissed suggestions that Charles N’Zogbia is moving to Sunderland AFC.

It is understood that Black Cats boss Steve Bruce is interested in taking N’Zogbia to the Stadium of Light and was planning to make a move in the current transfer window.

But Martinez has scotched any talk of a move before the summer.

“It’s a compliment when you’ve a team chasing you that would love to have you in their squad,” Martinez said of the effect such speculation might have on his players.

    “It’s speculation, but it’s positive.

“When you go into a game on the back of a defeat, and you read someone wants you, it’s a great lift.

“To get such a compliment can only help you as a player, and the football club as a whole.

Think we will get him in the summer and get sess in this window, Wigan can't hold onto him forever however hard they try.

I think Whelan is an arrogant guy. Likes to spout off about things but talks bollocks.

I'd prefer to get Muntari and Sessengon anyway, N'zogbia in the summer.

The thing about N'Zogbia is we know he can do it in the Prem.
Be my first choice but still want the others. <greedygetsmiley> :)

Totally agree, likes to let his mouth go a lot. Idiot, tbh,
If Sessegnon and Muntari come off, I'll be happy :D

Like to see him in the red and white, provided Bruce can keep him working. Can be a lazy bugger at times.

I agree with MackemsRules and safc1978 - Watched N'zog last night and thought he was a cut above the rest of the Wigan team. WAW (wasted at Wigan) in my opinion. put him in a better side and he'll shine no doubt. Come on Brucey, get the cheque book out.

I'd be over the moon if we managed to secure N'Zogbia, not a chance of it happening in this window though IMO

If Whelan sells him now, he has pretty much accepted relegation. He'd be mental

I think Wigan will have a clearout in the summer. Relegation looks likely despite having some much sought after names in their team.

This will only bring the value of the player down too. If Whelan waits ntil the end of the season and they go down we'll be able to pick him up for half the price. Dangerous game to play for Brucey if that's what he's doing. I would pay the extra 6m for him now and really push for Europe. If we make Europe we'll get the monies back for ticket sales at games alone.
