Honest Q for Chelski fans, how's Fabregas been doing as of late? Seen a few comments by Chelski fans saying he has gone off the boil since October-November.....Wouldnt surprise me, I said it before, Fabregas is very hot and fantastic from August-October, but after that he loses steam and is nowhere near his early season form.

Nobody really believes Chelsea are that good, the reason why they're touted as favourites though from the English sides, and with an actual chance, is because they know how to get the results, i.e. their anti-football tactic of parking the bus, Mourinho does it better than

    This.

I think anyone presses their defence (Everton at the start of the season, Spuds and Bradford more recently) and they will crumble.

So if winning games and trophies doesn't make you good, what is your definition?

I mean ffs guys at least try.
I preferred the Russian blood money insult, at least it had some semblence of truth.

Now its just, "You guys aren't good, you just win all the time!"
    Y'all aint even trying!

    No and No.
I think United are doing okay, but just disagree with a certain person on how well LvG is doing compared to Moyes in their respective circumstances.

If you are referring to the game we played tonight then no, we didnt win. Of course we didnt, we are **** remember? :p

Actually I think you and quite a few others have gone further than that. But even if that is the case, isn't that all people are saying about Chelsea? I'm certainly not saying you're ****, but when you're pressed you look vulnerable. Heck that's been proved by good teams and mediocre ones also. Today I thought PSG lacked desire and urgency bcos every time they did work the ball to the edge of your area they opened yu up every time. The trouble was they simply didn't make the effort to do it enough.

Hazard btw is pure quality and looked like the only person who could cause PSG any problems.

Agree 100% with everything you have posted.
If we can grab a league title this year I will be chuffed, but I would hope to see a different Chelsea team next season (not just necessarily in personnel mainly, but a few signings, but mostly in tactics). We seemed to have our **** together at the start of the season, but for some reason, whether Jose has reeled us in, or our players are suffering burnout (I would hope not, the seasons schedule hasn't been all that hectic, with the exception of Christmas, which is the same every year), we seem to have slightly lost our edge.

And Hazard did look good tonight, whenever he got on the ball, they immediately looked to kick lumps out of him :D that way he will just go to ground and draw the foul ( I cringe as I write that) but thats sometimes better than letting him run at the defence with the ball. A tactic we have employed against tricky players many times before.

We've had to put up with decades of we only won things because the opposition was no good so you'll get no sympathy from me!!

We've never once come across a decent opponent in any semi final or final we've ever been in, nor has any side ever given us a run for our money of any sort on any league title we ever won.

We were ****e in all aspects, it's just the other teams we're even more ****e.

Everyone of course were miraculously brilliant in the seasons we didn't win things.

What impresses is his balance and strength which make a tricky player VERY HARD to dispossess. It took 3 players at a time to knock lumps out of him and even then often 2 of them would end up on the ground. His trickery and strength help him shield the ball and work his way out of tight spaces with ease. He's not just a technically great player, there's more to his game - that's being missed. Just doesn't score enough but that will come. I would watch Chelsea just for him.... and possibly your defence :p

That and the good old "Utd aren't a good team, they just know how to win games". Now being applied to Chelsea (post #6502 <whistle>)

Really? So tell me more about how a good team is one that doesn't know how to win games....

Isn't knowing how to get results and being good kind of mutually inclusive?

I wouldn't slag off our tactics either when Wenger did a 'jose' against City this year and finally got a result away to a big side. Did you prefer that or do you prefer having all the possession and losing....mmm I wonder....

Only if it applies to Chelsea it seems not United. Personally my opinion is performance and results arent automatically mutually inclusive. And that can apply to Chelsea as much as anyone, including United.

This is true. And the greatest sides are generally those who get results whilst consistently putting in quality performances, like Utd from 99-01 and 07-09, and Barca from 09-11.

But ultimately if you have to choose between one or the other you'll choose results every time. Same reason Arsenal fans worship the 04 draw specialists above the recent sides which put in much better performances but win very little.

I bet he celebrated the 2005 FA cup when they defended with 11 men for 120 minutes then won on penalties, undeservedly.

One of Wenger's finest, and most hypocritical, moments.
