An English accent has just been voted the sexiest accent...presumably they mean the neutral accent rather than a strong regional one.

I work for a U.S. company. They have always said that the English accent is the sexiest.

There was an on-going 'best looking player' thing in there. As I remember it used to be between George Best, Willy Morgan and Trevor Hockey. I might have got that wrong because having just looked at a picture of Hockey and he is a mass of hair and beard and its hard to ascertain where one stops and the other starts.
Anyway, all 3 had long hair and it seems that the ladies do tend to prefer the long hair (Ginola for example, wouldn't look quite so cute with a skinhead!). I obviously need a more informed opinion on this.

Awful lot of black faces on that bottom ten...says more about the people who use paddypower than the players methinks.

There may be some racism in it, but I think it is more to do with the accepted view of beauty in the country voting. It has been shown, for instance, that black British men prefer white blondes because that is the accepted idea of beauty around them. Look at PL players...how many black PL players have black wives?

Perhaps its wrong to actually classify it as racism as most people are more likely to be attracted to their own cultural background/ethnicity but i will counter any point made here with 'Martin Skrtel'. The man looks like a cross between a white supremacist and one of those monsters from that god-awful I am Legend movie and will easily top any ugly list that isn't indy enough for Steve buscemi
Another issue that keeps getting raised as racism is the fact that some people struggle to distinguish between black people. If an insult isn't meant, it shouldn't be taken as one. In countries/regions where people look very similar...Africa, China, India etc...people pay more attention to facial features. In European countries where the major distinguishing features are hair and eye colour, people pay less attention to other features. How often have you been fooled in recognising a friend because someone else has a similar hair colour and cut.
