A quick glance at their board doesn't show any activity from that tosser. Although, it doesn't show any activity - full stop. Last post was 11.24 last night. Before that Feb 4th!...
There's basically only one person that posts on the Villa board, unfortunately. It's quite sad to see what's happening at that club, though. No idea how Lambert's kept his job.
Holte !!! He would basically : 1. Produce some stattery (going far back enough) to support his argument as to why Villa are bigger than Spurs. 2. Ask : have Spurs won the "big one" ??
The turnover of managers in modern football is often far too quick and kneejerk. This is not one of those instances, in my opinion. Shame we've still got to play them, as they might not be such an easy touch with a different coach. Looks like Sherwood's the early favourite for this one, again. Wonder how he'll blow it?
Football management is a ruthless world. Nothing wrong with a family man wanting all the boxes ticked before he returns to that environment.
Lambert wasn't helped by not being able to buy quality players. The transfer policy there was either free transfers or promising lower league British players or cheap foreign imports. Only Benteke at £10M was a £5M+ signing. Which of the players bought would have been sought by any top ten PL club? Occasionally, a manager gets lucky by spending a smallish amount on a prospect, but you can't base your transfer policy on this when rivals are spending big on well established players.
Bit of a deflection wasn't there? Lukaku missed a sitter and I thought then that it would be costly. Apart from City the others haven't been that great. Burnley equalize and then Utd score just before half time. The score stays the same until an 82nd minute penalty with Utd lethargic. Saints can't break down ten man West Ham and Chelsea scrape by with a very late goal.
Mourinho up to tricks again. Ivanovic should've been sent off and he dismisses it as a "joke" in the postmatch interview and after the first question in the post match press conference about it he threatens to leave if there's another. It's embarrassing how **** scared of him they all are. They let him act like a baby, one minute he doesn't turn up the next he's talking about Van Persie's elbow and the next he's saying Ivanaovic's headbutt is off limits. Embarrassing for all involved but the press in particular that let him get away with this nonsense. Lambert?! Can't tell if you're being sarcastic. He'd have gone a lot earlier had Lerner not had them up for sale. O'Neill did the real damage to that club.
As Cantona said, " When the seagulls follow the trawler its because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea" They trail Mourinho around because they hope he's going to say something controversial, or even better, outrageous. Mourinho knows this, and that no matter how badly he behaves towards them, they will still follow him.[/QUOTE]
