Just watched this 7 year old lad on sky sports.....he is definitely one for the future he now has a trial for Barc lined up,but surley with our youth development success at Saints we could help him here........but he is mad about Messi so given a choice he will go there.

barca youth setup is better then ours. it would be most beneficial for his development to go there

hes from bradford - so doubt our scouts extend quite that far north due to catchments etc??

agree barca would be best for him .... however if he were to stay in england who better than us eh? ;)

No he was on holiday in Spain with his dad when he asked some kids could he have a kick about with them...then it it was revealed he was kicking about with youth players from Barca being watched by a scout hence why he has been asked for a trial..

Gimme a break... so someone taught a kid to do some keepy-ups. Wait until he actually starts to grow, then you might be see if he can be a sportsman.

So why are we talking about him coming to us? Just after like one video of him too... Fact is, Barca have been mentioned, we haven't. Even if we were, we all know who he'd choose.

Stories like this are why I love being Northern Irish <laugh>

Just seen the video on SSN.Fair play to the kid, he is good for a 7 year old, but come on it's been hyped up a bit to much.

I'm with SH and Sotonsaint on this. He's 7 FFS; maybe when he's 13 we an go ape. I really think clubs take some kids way too young.

He'll be stopped from playing action man incase he sprains his wrist.

To be honest, I bet there are about a thousand other kids at the same standard as him, if not better, that will never ever get spotted for what ever reason. He just happend to be in the right place at the right time.

This is the typical English football attitude that explains why the England team are awful

What kind of life does a kid have when they are pushed into something at such a tender age?

We're probably best off with local lads at that age. I don't think relocating kids at that age is good for them. Also, a good 7 year old won't necessarily be a good player. IMO, we shouldn't be relocating players until they are older and have more conviction in their decisions.

I know the family and they are all VERY keen Barca fans so they'll go given the chance.
