Not sure if this has been posted, but just seen this on ALS.

John O’Shea, David Vaughan and Wes Brown all appear to be on the verge of signing for us today. Reports are suggesting that O’Shea and Brown have undergone medicals while Vaughan has arrived for contract talks. Sources close to ALS have also told us that O’Shea will be given the captain’s armband once the deal is complete.

Just hope the internal stuff is handled properly - no need to piss off Catts - but handled properly it makes perfect sense

ALS seems to have a canny source, if they know who's gonna be captain before he even signs...

    Think someone's putting 2 +2 together.

Can't see any problems with O'Shea being given the captain armband, boat loads of experience, on the other hand I wouldn't be bothered if Catts kept it.

ALS are heavily contacted within the club, and usually close to the mark.

Would rather have someone with more exp as captain than catts. Without the responsibilty i think catts will shine. Either that or he will be ****ed

I like Catts personally and ratet he kid highly. I have no probl;ems with hiom being the captain and see no reason to change just for the sake of it.

However, if he is still injured at the Liverpool game, O Shea is the obvious and natural player to step up and assume it.

A midfiled with Catts in is a competitive one and a strong one IMO.
